Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I remember Gramma calling Memorial Day Decoration Day and it was always May 30th. The Fed deciding it should be a 3-day weekend removed the somberness that Memorial Day deserves. 😔
Didn’t feel like watching the war-stories on TCM today; glad Hallmark had the 3-episode Matchmaker series on with Danica McKellar — murder and mayhem; may as well have watched the war-movies 🙄
I used to call it Decoration Day….you are so right most people think its a three day party weekend now days.
We always went to Iowa as kids to go to the service at the cemetery and mom and dad put flowers out.
That’s a good way to honor the fallen 🤗
I planted flags thru the American Legion.
I could do that for through our church at my parents cemetery tomorrow morning but I just cant with my back and the ground is hard. I will go early …530…to take out plant

I know they did, but I didn’t see it. It was really sad. If he had sought help sooner maybe he would still be alive. But how many of us have done the same thing, especially when we were his age.

I made the best garbage salad last night, spinach,tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms avocado scallions cottage cheese cheddar cheese hard boiled egg Bleu cheese western dressing it was the best salad that I have had in a long time😋
