Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Back inside will be making my dinner in a bit, Debbie after I talked to you I put things away and took Jade for a walk all the way up to the corner. There I met a family Mom and Dad little boy and girl and a big poodle, Jade wanted to see the kids but one look at that dog she popped up, the little boy came to meet Jade asked her name petted her and I told him Jade and he said that’s just like my friend in school, we call her JJ and I said I call… Read more »
that is very sweet…I hope Jade isn’t afraid of loud noises..one time a noise, not that loud, scared one of my cats that was on a leash and she got out of the leash and ran off..I was SO scared and freaking out..she went down into the ravine and laid in a little dip in the ground and cried…DH found her, picked her up and held her very tightly and brought her in…that was years ago and i don’t do that with my cat anymore.
Hi Lynn she did poof up but ran and I ran with her she ran right home. We have the walk thing figured out, I walk her on a harness it stays on her. She knew to run home she’s smart. She does love meeting people😍
yes, she’s smart…mine just freaked out and was too scared to come back up the house.
Julie started by acclimating Jade, starting out with her on a lead in the back yard, then front yard, then walking down the street.
I’m sorry that happened Lynn.
😘
He was a kindergardener😘
Oh Julie, wonderful story! How sweet.
cable internet back
I didn’t know you lost it.
Power went off/on twice….internet out…thunder now

It s back………..just very windy and thunder
Lots of lightning? could be power surges
Just thunder ……but yes power surges
Hang onto your hat Ardyth, with power surges I unplug things if I’m not using them, a surge can fry the electronics
unplugging laptop now and going to bed
OH no from storms🙄
Welcome back Ardyth😍
Its dark and we are getting some sprinkles, cooled off to 89 from 95.
Getting very windy too

It’s so dry, glad the plants will get some rain😘
I can definitely see some swayed branches on this one. That’s pretty windy.
When i was hanging clothes there was a baby “Buddy” on the clothes line…about an inch long.
Cute!
I know
cute…the ones I’ve seen here were greener if I’m remembering right.
ours are green too, this is a baby
Oh my it is little tiny, keep your eyes open for more they have lots of babies, I looked it up to find out😍
It did look like it was staring hard at that clothespin. 🤣😂
I doubt anyone wants to watch this….they only record the 10:00 am service and I go to the 830 but the music is the same.
I’ll listen to this later, especially the music. Thanks.
😀
Thanks Ardyth😘
Thank you, Ardyth. I will listen to it in a little while.
In my first good morning post I referred to including “regular Americans” in our Memorial thoughts. I was thinking of non military, non first responders who have also given their all to this country, to stand up for all downtrodden. More specifically, during some events that happened near Deborah.
What happened near Decorah?
It happened in Minneapolis.
Honey Minneapolis is way north of Decorah by 200-300 maybe more miles
I didn’t say Decorah. I said Deborah. I don’t think Deborah lives way away. I just wanted you to know what state I was talking about.
She is a couple hours or so away
That isn’t far to me.
yeah, it’s just a little over 2 hours south of me and it was a terrible thing
Thanks Deb it was horrible. I can still see those people’s faces. I just wanted people to know what state I was talking about.
It is Pentecost Sunday so I wore red to church. I only have one top that is red with thin white stripes. We have the best organist that is in charge of the music on special Sundays. The choirs were combined today and there was a brass section and some of the bells people too. The choirs are done for the summer now and it was our new choir directors last day. The music was fun and one of my funeral songs was sung by the choir. Harriet and I talked after church. Then I braved Walmart. I put everything away… Read more »
Sounds like a very enjoyable and fulfilling church service. What are your funeral songs?
I would have to look at my paper. I just the one is called the Spirit Song. But my plans may change depending how long I live I have decided.
Sounds like your church celebrates Pentecost perfectly — lovely & fun service. 😊
It was great!!!
