Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

You were up early. Good night Julie. Sleep well, peace. Love.
My phone won’t let me post a picture tonight for some reason. Doesn’t matter. Anyway, all right. I’m going to say good night
Good night Ardyth and sweet dreams😘
Good night dear Ardy. Hope nothing hurts enough you can’t have a good sleep, with happy dreams. Love.
Just had hamburgers for supper and I had something in my mouth and I thought what the heck is that and I pulled it out and it was a little tiny piece of metal. Look like a staple or something. Good grief!

Looks really good.
Mushroom burgers I need to eat I think a burger😋

All cleaned up and tck checked, I feel better, Felt around on Jade to see if I could feel one and not yest but she has the tick killer one her
Glad you feel better
You can feel them crawling on you so its hard to get rid of that feeling
Ewwww
I said more than that Pam😂
Julie’s tick. Yuk.
Yuk yuk.
Flushed it down the toilet
YUK IS RIGHT……….I hope I dont get them on me up at JoAnns since she lives in the woods by the lake…and they have bears, hope I dont meet one when i walk.
You better take precautions too. Just don’t go for walks up there.
Oh I will walk probably every morning……people post when a bear is spotted on the lake area
I will walk down their lane……I am excited to walk in the woods
At least take some kind of bear repellent, maybe JoAnn has something. Does some kind of noise maker help? Joann can advise you. We aren’t talking about just a coyote here. .
She will probably know if a bear is in the area…..at least i hope so!!
I do to. Good grief you are going to be the death of me! Be especially careful if anyone has seen cubs.
The bear would smell you long before you see her she will tree her cubs but if you see cubs your in danger
You don’t know they are there till you see it but the really stink you can smell if a bear is around, if you see or smell one walk the other way and don’t run and don’t make eye contact
That can help but they are always moving around they cover miles in a day, Oh and don’t wear flowery smelling things like lotions perfume that just makes them want to know what smells so good? don’t carry around food they have a good sense of smell and go for the food
They have that up north you don’t have to bring it, take your phone with
It will be beautiful you just need your head on a swivel be aware around you on a lake its key because animals need to come and drink there are more animals in the morning and at dusk, your freinds will help you. Don’t worry
Ardy is fearless. She probably won’t even ask! 😫
Being fearless in the woods is not smart, you are in preditors living room, you have to respect their space, they live there you are a invader
Bears will have cubs at that time you just need to make noise carry a coaches whistle with you to toot, ticks are around all the time if you walk in the woods you wear a hat long sleeve shirt and long pants tucked into your socks then you are tick proof a little, they are in the woods and if you go in the woods you have to be heads up. Its a bad year for ticks there are lots of them. I have never had them here before, that’s how bad they are and this is just the… Read more »
it was in my ear OMG
Jo’s sister had a sensation of something crawling in her ear and went to an ear doctor. He looked in her ear and didn’t find/see anything. She kept feeling it, got some numbness in her face and either a droopy eye or jaw, I forgot. She went back to the doctor and he found a tick in her ear! It had chewed through a nerve and she still has dizziness and vertigo from it. I’m glad you got it out. You need to take precautions. You know what. Tuck clothes in, hat, etc. You can wrap duck tape sticky out… Read more »
yikes
Mine was attached just inside the ear it wasn’t crawling in, That poor woman, probably caused a infection they suck blood they don’t chew. I know the precautions I just didn’t think they were there, today they showed up, they can fall out of trees onto you or they are in tall grass and plants. I will wear long pants from now on with socks because they can crawl up your ankles and I will wear shoes and a hat
This one chewed the nerve according to the doctor, maybe because it was stuck in there.
Just had to go to the neighbors for help, I had a tick in my ear and I couldn’t get it out, its out now😫
Did all those come off you?
😂 no I only had 2 today, I have had as many as 10 on me though, that’s a gift above and what a gift😜
Back soon, getting Casey’s supper. .
