Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Hello…hardly any sleep last night…won’t say much except Bat…DH left his dad and took off work today…so tired..my sister came over and we took a walk before she left. We have the a/c on but I’m sitting on the screen porch. DH will make hamburgers for dinner. If I don’t come back here today/tonight…it’s because I’m tired…I took a couple or more short naps..and read my Scotland magazine.

You definitely should wear them, Ardyth. A simple thing to do to try and prevent blood clots from the altitude.

You know me well ♥♥ Both window and front door — there’s no wind/breeze so it’s just enjoyable. Because there’s no sun (front porch faces west), even one of the cats is on the front cushion and doesn’t appear to be in a sharing frame of mind 😼

Hi Pam. 😘 I saw a film the other day about a guy who accidentally ended up raising a sea otter. Oh what a wonderful experience he had raising her and then her having her first baby, coming home to him to share, quite an experience. They are interesting individuals. 🥰

I had my appointment with Julie at 8:15. She said my labs were good, one was a little high, no concern. I complained about being fat and all my friends on the injections….she said I will live longer than them. Any way she still said the phentermine is the safest. She has a client that is a nurse who has been on them 5 years and has lost 50 lbs. We discussed everything. Because she always has become every three months when I left I made the appointment for three months from now. Then I got home and I realized… Read more »
