Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I’m off to get Casey’s supper, be back in just a few. Maybe everyone is gone, but I’ll check in.
And back.
Welcome back Debbie😘
That was 45 minutes ago, now I gotta get my supper! 😂. But I’ll be baaasccccckkkkk
Back!
We have a lot of cases of M-pox in my state
😯
Oh that isn’t good.
Not good at all it spreads easy, has me worried enough to get the vaccine, but will think about it?
I would want to check out the safety and side effects of the vaccine then decide.
And how it is transmitted.
Oh no, this is very bad 🙏
The rash or pox you get lasts a while and is painful like shingles and lasts for a couple of weeks after the flu like symtoms
I didn’t do outdoor stuff today, needed a break from the heat, suppose to get storms maybe tonight and it will be cooler tomorrow. That’s all that’s going on for me Jade has slept all day, we both feel the same
So what did you do? Sleep too?
Not a damn thing, I didn’t sleep. I didn’t feel like doing anything so I didn’t
Good for you.
😜good for you!
Storms are coming from the North
Did you sleep all day too ?😘
Hello…hardly any sleep last night…won’t say much except Bat…DH left his dad and took off work today…so tired..my sister came over and we took a walk before she left. We have the a/c on but I’m sitting on the screen porch. DH will make hamburgers for dinner. If I don’t come back here today/tonight…it’s because I’m tired…I took a couple or more short naps..and read my Scotland magazine.
the other time a few or several days ago my sister was here…we holed up in the bedroom like I did last night and he caught it and let it go but not yet this time.
So hiding from the bat?
well yes and had to get the pets in there or their rooms so they’d be safe
Must be scary for you.
You had to do, what you had to do and I would of done the same
So you and your husband are both tired?
yes, it was 4 something a.m.
The bat got in the main house then. I’m sorry Lynn.
Oh no, you poor things; those dammed bats 🦇🦇🦇
Did you try opening a door with a light on so it would fly out? That worked for Laura.
I like to photograph bats but not in my house….scary!!!!
don’t know where it was and remember they come back
Oh Lynn it is time for bats, I haven’t looked for any flying at night
we’ve had them all year long but mostly in the attic
NP Julie wants me to wear compression socks when I fly……I really dont want to
Does she think it may help with the RLS when you land — as well as helping to prevent DVT
Nothing to do with RLS……I have some PAD (vascular) wants me to prevent blood clots
So it’s the DVT then; well, as we get older …
yep!!!
You definitely should wear them, Ardyth. A simple thing to do to try and prevent blood clots from the altitude.
World Otter Day
Meet Steve/Brad delightful specimens of these mischievous little critters
They are adorable. Made me smile! Hi Pam and thanks. Hope you are having a good day.
Hi Debbie ♥ It’s been a lovely day, 60 degrees and softly raining off and on, making trees/farmers very happy.
You were warmer in the winter! Enjoy the nice day. Bet you have a window open listening to the rain, or is it too cool?
You know me well ♥♥ Both window and front door — there’s no wind/breeze so it’s just enjoyable. Because there’s no sun (front porch faces west), even one of the cats is on the front cushion and doesn’t appear to be in a sharing frame of mind 😼
😄. I would not want to share either!
Me neither 😹
😸
Oh very cute
Hi Pam I love these pictures😘 I had a cat named Otter and we would always say to him you otter cut that out😂 when he was being a bad boy
So silly 😹
Hi Pam. 😘 I saw a film the other day about a guy who accidentally ended up raising a sea otter. Oh what a wonderful experience he had raising her and then her having her first baby, coming home to him to share, quite an experience. They are interesting individuals. 🥰
I had my appointment with Julie at 8:15. She said my labs were good, one was a little high, no concern. I complained about being fat and all my friends on the injections….she said I will live longer than them. Any way she still said the phentermine is the safest. She has a client that is a nurse who has been on them 5 years and has lost 50 lbs. We discussed everything. Because she always has become every three months when I left I made the appointment for three months from now. Then I got home and I realized… Read more »
I’m glad your labs were good and you don’t have to go back for 6 months. I don’t have to have an appointment for a blood draw.
I go to Labcorp and it’s just down the street and you never had to have appointments you just walked in but two or three times ago I walked in and discovered that they have now started taking appointments and the appointments have first priority and they are encouraging you to make appointments so I make appointments now. we’re gonna put those from
Maybe for the best, no waiting.
A little but better than the walk ins. I dont mind making an appt
Good news re: your Labs 😘
thanks Pam
