Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Evidently ATT and TMobile both are trying to get into the wifi market here in my neck of the woods. I have been having wifi probs since I got the new phone – like someone else is trying to get in. That must be what is messing everything up.
I felt like I was going to lose my post, so I went ahead and sent it, even though I wasn’t done with it. I hope everyone is having a good evening. Seems like it’s been kind of quiet today. Everyone must be tired. I sure am. Been making business calls today. Appointments, repair questions here and there, ordering dog food, ordering people food, etc. Now I will cook a couple of pork chops, a baked potato, and then heat some spinach. Sure miss having a hummingbird to watch. It was nice to see Pam’s picture. 🤗
What kind of people food did you order Karen? Are you talking about just ordinary grocery store food? Supper sounds good. I seldom eat spinach but I sure eat a lot of kale. I used to eat a lot of mustard greens and still like them, but after I discovered Kale it became my favorite.

Good afternoon, I don’t really have much to say. I went for my little walk this morning. It was 66° and cloudy and cooler. Still is cloudy and cooler only 86° today if you can believe that. And then my sister came over for a haircut so she hung out for a little while. Then all I did was watch soap operas and have some lunch. I was going to post a picture last night. We had salads and chicken wings and the salad looks so pretty. Let me see if I can find it.
