Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Debbie I finally remembered to fill the hummer feeder
I just did that to, well Jo hung them. I make the nectar, fill the bottles and wash the old ones.
I didn’t remember right away I walked past the nectar and went up stairs🙄
Howdy do BellaFam 💖
Gettin’ hot again today — yesterday was such a nice break. Ardyth, such a lovely card; so glad you got in touch Phyllis {{HUGS}} I did not know anything about a Colorado toad; wish i still didn’t 😟
The Midwest/South will continue to have “unsettled” summer weather. Meteorologists have a strange way of describing nightmarish weather events. Please stay safe/dry. 🙏 Congrats to Julie on the Monarch-eggs 🦋🦋
This made me laugh ↓↓ Surprise is a town northwest of Phoenix. Looks like these folks forgot oven mitts for the steering wheel 😂
Hi Pam try to stay cool. I finally got a fan going in the living room. Makes a world of difference.
Hi Debbie, i have a ceiling & 2 floor fans & just got a Dreo table fan; it has a misting feature.
Is Dreo the type of fan or brand?
Brand name; Wirecutter recommended it.
Hello dear Lady😍 we are clear skies and a nice breeze today and just 80,I’m glad about the Monarchs I went and checked the milkweeds for more eggs, didn’t find any-the milkweeds have ants on them and they prey on both eggs and caterpillars, that’s why I like to take the eggs and raise them.Just gives them a better chance to become a butterfly😘
Hi Pam…I thought you might enjoy the conversation about “tweaking” below…
You were right; I was howling 😂
I bet Lynn and Ardy can both twerk. 😂
uhhhh…no 😜
😂
I bet you and Ardy can shake a booty with the best of em.
😀
Oh dear, the ants.
Oh dear, i never thought about the ants and i know they’re very destructive 😠 Look how much damage they do to hummer-chicks.
Hi Pam,
The toads come out at night so i will have to be on the lookout for them now.
Went out my back door today and I had a female Monarch laying eggs-I found 4 eggs today Monarch season has begun😍
I had a nice chat with Debbie, Jo and Casey💚 had Jade out also
Need to get the plants out of the garage bbl
They need their sun!
They do plus the temp is so nice outside its not like being in a hot oven can do work and get things done
Debbie, check out my long reply to you below
Thanks for the reply. I asked what year was that.

I replied again under Ardy’s, to your reply😀
I was very new then, I may not have seen a lot of posts when you were first telling it, but of course later on I saw everything.
Good morning Bella Buds. Hope everyone has a good start to your day and sustained no damage or power outages over night. Good day to all.
Good morning Debbie, coffee clinks to you sweetie😘
Hi Julie!
😄
I was thinking of my customers Richard and Phyllis lately and I wondered if they were still alive. So I googled Richard’s name first and found out he died in December. So I sent Phyllis a card and a little letter and yesterday I got one back from her and I wanted to share the card that she wrote in
Beautiful card Ardyth, its good you contacted her💖
Thanks, she was very happy I contacted her and watched the video of his funeral
Good morning Ardy, good to see you. That is a true and beautiful card.
morning Debbie
Ardy you must see Lynn and my thread below about tweaking and twerking. 😂🤣
