Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Good morning Bella Buds. It is pretty outside, that changes tomorrow. I have just a quick thing to do and I will have the fans done. I need to wash some sheets and clothes. My brain is just floating now, I’m sure I’ll have more to say later. Y’all have a good day.

Good morning…it’s so dark out, lightly raining now. I’ll go to my petsitting job this afternoon..or maybe before then, will check the weather. I saw there will be some good performers at the Obama center grand opening.

Hi Julie

I always worry about the people that walk their dogs early

julie
June 17, 2026 9:38 am

Coyotes go after dogs because they think they are competition for food- they will kill a dog because of that its called survival
