Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Just made it back inside it started raining, got a lot done today outside, I even made Tuna pasra salad. I would of kept on working outside till it got dark, It was so nice to do outdoor things and not sweat its 63😍 and I’m loving it😘

Good afternoon…just had a farmer’s market salad and there are hamburgers left from when DH grilled. I gave my mom a couple. I walked Bane with my dog walking friend..it was just a bit cool and breezy, wore a jacket…I start petsitting again tomorrow..really dreading the storms if we get any…it’s a 10-11 day job so I’ll be busy.
forgot to say we took the dogs out for ice cream and a walk at the cemetery last night..I had a small turtle flurry, yum. DH and sometimes we have been going a bit more often to check the cemetery since there has been some vandalism lately
I hate to hear vandalism at a cemetery. They are usually teenagers I bet, ones with little parental guidance.
not sure but DH thinks a guy, not that young..he saw footprints leading to houses and has seen him walk from the cemetery towards those houses but of course he doesn’t know for sure
If it is really an adult I hope he is caught and gets the maximum punishment possible. Teenage boys can be reckless, stupid and driven by peer pressure, especially if parenting has been poor or non-existent. But an adult, no excuse.
I know..it’s been going on awhile and can be hard to catch someone actually doing it..
Maybe the guy has a grudge about someone buried there?

Hi Lynn, it is always nice to walk with a friend. The dogs probably like it to. Did you buy the whole salad at a farmer’s market, or the ingredients to make it. I’m going to the farm produce place Friday and hope they have a lot of stuff now they grew. Their stuff is always. Enter than the things they bring in from further south. The don’t grow peaches but the ones they get from SC or Georgia are always good. You can’t beat a grilled hamburger. You have a long pet sitting job!
I made the salad from some things I bought there and added nuts, cheese, corn relish from the market also.
Bet it was good.
