Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. We got the car back from the shop today. They were coming to pick us up at 3:00 to take us to the car, and when the guy arrived in the driveway, it started hailing like nobody’s business. We were on the porch, waiting for him to arrive, when 1-2″ hail balls started pounding. Everybody stayed where they were for about 15 minutes, as it fell. Oh dear Karen Im sorry about the hail. I hope the falling leaves are the only damage. They will grow. I always worry the most about the roof. I hope the car does well now and you can keep the squirrels away.

You got the hail Karen Marie, I had heard from storm chasers there would be hail with the storms. The hail lasted a long time😯 usually its over in a minute or two. When we had the baseball hail there were no leaves on the trees yet. Your tree will be OK it can put out more leaves if it needs to. But I can imagine the leaf damage the street full of green leaves, but you got rain so that’s a good thing. Did your sirens go off?

Plants watered and so is Jade😂 she didn’t get out of the way and I sprayed her, she likes water on her terms not me getting her wet she was mad and tried to run away, but couldn’t get far she was tangled up😂 It was great fun😼

She likes water, she really does. She just thought the spray bottle has gotten bigger😂 that’s why it was funny. When I water the plants in pots and water comes out the bottom of the pot she goes and plays in it even lays down in it
😂. It is like me. I’ve always loved the water. Enjoyed a swimming pool, I would stay in the water until I looked like a prune! I look like that now every day! But I hated when someone would splash water in my face.
