Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. You might want to check out the cow that went viral. If interested on YouTube search for Daisy the porch cow. A woman has a “hobby farm” which I interpret as basically pet farm animals. Anyway this cow was bottle fed and on her own, started laying on the smallish porch. Looks like she takes up the whole thing. The farm is called Dakota Funny Farm. The cow is soon to calf. It is my ad blocker. But without the ad blocker I sometimes touched ads that caused it to make posts in progress disappear which was worse than not having a ball, especially if I had typed a lot.
I found the Daisy video I thought she would be a dairy cow but shes a Black Angus beef cow they are smaller than dairy cows, she does love the front stoop😍
I saw baby pigs on the porch on tv too.
I saw the pigs too she keeps the animals in the garage? seems like to many animals for what she has plus they are bteeding pigs can have 12 piglets or more, that’s a lot for a hobby farm
cute story looks like they painted her hooves, lol…looks like all of the animals kind of have free run of the property 😖 btw, a hobby farm is used for personal use (gardens, cows for dairy and food, chickens for eggs and food etc.), not for a primary source of income

Good morning, I went for a walk and unfortunately I saw a dead cat and I’m sure a coyote got it. It was just mangled and I also saw off to the side. It was probably attacked and then dragged through the sand to the sidewalk. I need to call animal control. I did see this pretty flower from a cactus when I walked. Matt wants to go to lunch today so we’re treating. It’s our turn.

A coyote would kill but it hunts for food it would of taken the cat not leave it-something else happened to it
Only hunt for food, they get blaimed because they are a preditor, they don’t hunt just to kill something, key word is eat-the cat would of been eaten
I’m sure that is right. But our cat was damaged so badly he had to be euthanized. But I do believe he escaped and the coyote would have eaten him.

It could of been a fox or a raptor like a hawk or a owl, did you see paw prints?
They dont always take them. We have had many eaten with just the legs and head left on the ground.
I have seen rabbits like that its usually a hawk or a owl
I am positive the ones we have seen were killed by coyotes.

Good morning Bella Buds. I’m tired this morning. I woke up about 5 and didn’t want to go back to sleep. I did sleep just a little after that. My lower back is tender which I usually don’t have. Not complaining, I’ll probably feel normally by afternoon. I hope so because I’m cooking. White runner string green beans with golf ball size potatoes and country ham, pork chops from Aldi’s, corn on the cob and sliced tomatoes. The veggies are all from the farm store. No, won’t eat all that meat in one day. It is four pork chop so the two of us will take atleast 2 days. I’m trying now not to loose any more weight. I was eating a half a pork chop, but I think I should eat a whole one now.
I had to plant more green beans yesterday-the seeds I got from the Dollar store only give you like 8 seeds and only 3 came up so I planted some old seeds I had and see if those come up, if not oh well🙄

I just went from 8:15 pm to 11:15 pm. My husband bumped the kitchen clock when we got home, and I’ve been off all night. Didn’t notice Hummer time. 🙄 Silly me!!! Off to bed. Goodnight!!!!
Yikes!! I get my time off and don’t realize it when I’m working outside I think it’s say 4pm but its really 7pm because of the day light-I don’t look at the clock much I just see the time when I’m on my computer because its right there
