Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Yep, I’m cryin’. Wasn’t any easier the second time. It was a “proud of America and it’s protectors” movie — back then.
It was a 1998 blockbuster put out by Disney go figure🙄
I didn’t like it that much special effects were good though
Oh, THAT “Armageddon.” 🤩 I did see it. Just didn’t recognize the name. It was good. I enjoyed it. Pam summed it up well. The theme song, “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing,” by Aerosmith, is one of my favs..
Okay, I’m going to go back to the kitchen and fix something cool for supper. Maybe I’ll check out that movie some are watching. What channel or stream is it on?

How hot is it outside for you Karen? How much of your house has AC? Oh poor Sandy, but it sounds like she is ok. I hope she makes it back to the nest tonight. The cottage cheese flew like 6 feet, leaving a trail! I didn’t think it would be that hard to clean either. Deb had the nest idea. To use spatulas. Sounded like a winner to me.

It was 94 in the back yard. Only gets worse until the sun starts to set. I suspect it is 96 now, but I’m not going back downstairs to check it right now. That’s what happens when you have a house facing west sometimes, with no big trees to block the sun. I have an AC in the kitchen and in the office. Both rooms face West. I’m sorry it’s so hot for you Karen. I’ve come to realize there are more people who don’t have AC than I thought, including most of Europe! But you got some AC, fans, trees to manage hopefully.

Oh my Goodness Pam If it’s not the storms you have to watch for fires😯 hows the clowder been doing? with the weather and the heat?I suppose with it being that hot all the water evaporates fast
I’ve had to do water a couple times a day; they seem to appreciate it. Same members of the clowder; pretty sure they’ve been staying under plenty off shade. Poor things 😔
