Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. How odd that the fires would be right in the middle of the two.
Its all forest land, its just beautiful. The Boundry Waters is one of the most beautiful places in the world💖 you get there by canoe its total wilderness. It has a well know wolf population. Its a collection of lakes and you paddle and portage

How truly horrible. I hope one day we can figure out how to somewhat prevent these fires. Maybe thinning things, out or something.
Park services have been cut here in the US,I think if there were rangers we would be able to spot fires earlier when they are small, before the spread. Like these fires were started by lightning strikes. If there were rangers fires could be spotted and reported faster. Saving trees, wildlife, peoples homes, peoples health. and global warming has changed wind patterns in states for Wisconsin the change in wind patterns has brought the smoke. Climate change at work
So true. Not only have we helped cause climate change, but now we have cut some of the things that help us to deal with it. How great we are! 😩

So sad and so true. I know many Canadians came south of the border to help us with our fires. We just recently had one guy in Colorado, from Canada, operating a helicopter to fight one of our fires, and he was killed. And now some say Canada’s fires are their own!!??! Unimaginable!
