Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I had left over veggies and heated little meatballs from Aldi’s. They are frozen, fully cooked and you can just heat them in the microwave. I like them.

Julie, I hope your Mom doesn’t have Covid. 🙏 She has enough to deal with. You too! 💓 this thing cut off on me. I’ll try to continue. Pam I’m so glad that Rick has folks all around him to give him special care. 😍

Just got home. COME ON AND RAIN !!!! Gray, heavy and fluffy clouds. Darkish outside. Heard one thunderclap. Just a big tease. 😰 Clouds so low, I may find a way up there and open them myself!! I was out buying some food and other stuff. My OT person was here for 3 hrs this morning. She is ordering some items for me : smaller vacuum cleaner, mattress insert to help keep them apart when putting new sheets on, another bannister or grab bar for other side of indoor staircase so I can put pressure on both legs, new bars… Read more »

Hi Karen, that is a great! Is this a state or federal grant? You rock! That is a lot of stuff. Some of it surprises me but I’m happy you are getting it.

It’s a new thing. 3 diff agencies here in CO got together and pitched their services and talent to help disabled folks. It’s really not hard to get a grant like that, as long as you know your stuff. I will also get some help with new linoleum in kitchen and some outdoor stuff. I have talked with 2 of the groups for 3 years, highlighting my situation, and they decided to qualify me.

OMGoodness, i’m watching people on Jimmy Kimmel in LA drink water poured from the hose into a cup that said EREWHON, a brand of water which grocery stores are charging $12 per 12 oz cup. Not one of those folks could tell the difference. It was crazy. 😄

Good grief I can’t imagine. A favorite saying of my father: “a fool and his money are soon parted”.

Hello…did this and that today…a load of laundry, pulled some weeds, washed some dishes, can’t remember the other little jobs but sat on my porch for awhile, reading and writing…high of 77 today, nice.
