Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Yum. Sauce looks good. I love shrimp.
Just thousand island dressing
I thought it looked like it but figured I was wrong. I know you are in bed. Good night Ardy. I hope you sleep well. 🥰♥️
That looks very delicious. 🤪
Oh Yumm 😋
From Julie: Friday fishfry
Thanks Debbie. That fish looks so good. I miss Long John Silver’s fish. I bet Julie and her folks are lovin’ it.
She said it was really good.
Oh I bet! Lucky gal.
Our LJS closed due to bad management. What happened to yours?
I never found out. One day many years ago we went to get a meal, and it was just gone! Never heard anything, nothing in the paper, etc. Didn’t think to call corporate office at that time.
Ours closed many years ago.
They are making a comeback I think because they expanded their menu to include grilled salmon, fish, shrimp on a ned of rice. I think when ours closed they were expanding more.
Bud light with a straw??😁🙄
I noticed the red can and thought regular Bud Lite comes in a blue can. So I googled. I think this is what Julie has even though other flavors come in a red can. It is more like a cocktail.
Howdy-do BellaFam 💖 Up early, did a load of laundry. Overnight low of 1 degree and very slow to warm up. Made cinnamon pancakes for lunch; they’re such a pain because my kitchen things are all over the place — my kitchen is not my kitchen, have to share. 😏 Chuck decided going to the bank in Pueblo could wait til Monday. The roads were still so icy, no point in tempting fate. Too many accidents as it is. The young woman whose car slid off the highway into a canal; she died — her poor parents. 😢 At 3p, sunny &… Read more »
Hi Pam
You are having some cold temps.
I see your cartoon…..I have been hearing what i thought were children screaming the last two mornings but Itis a young Rooster right behind us…crowing ALL day!!!!! They are illegal in the city…so we are trying to take care of that…dont want any harm to come to it though.
Hi Ardyth ♥ roosters in the city are not good 🐓 i can hardly hear the ones out here.
I can hear it with the doors closed. Rick said it was young and cute,,,,he was talking to it…lol
I can picture Rick talking to it. How sweet. 😃
😄
Hi Pam. I understand the kitchen situation. At least Chuck cooks and shares some times, I’m really the only one who cooks, but I find things misplaced. Good decision for Chuck not to travel on icy roads.
So what does Jo do with the cooking stuff? Or is it Casey when he’s out and about?
😁. Casey is just loud. She puts my spices up when I’ve left them handy to use, misplaced dishes, just little stuff. Not too bad, she isn’t in there enough!
I see, just enough to be noticed. 😂
Some things she put in recycling. I see them missing and go get it out. This would be like a little box to put coffee pods in beside my coffee maker instead of the big box it came in, or a bottle I repurposed for a reason. I’ve told her over and over unless I put it here, it isn’t for recycling.
Wow. I wonder what’s up with that? Do you think she is forgetting? Or maybe she does want to be noticed?
She is just fickle, never has really listened.
Hmmmm…… You just put them back. That’s sweet.
Oh I fuss sometimes!
You are right, Pam. It’s “not fit for man nor beast.” (From a Rudolph movie). I was supposed to go out for a few more things today, but it was too cold for me. I was tired anyway, so it worked out. 😊
Julie: cheers.
Cute little snowman! Thank you Julie/Debbie! 🥰
Cheers!! Cute snowman!
Been on the phone for over 3 hours. Guy had to read the entire summary of benefits to me over the phone and go over all my doctors, meds, and personal info. Then I had to listen to 2 non-disclosure statements of about 5 minutes each. He told me he lives on honey lozenges all day. We got into a yelling match at one point – he want the exact milligrams of all my meds. I told him I already knew they were covered, but that didn’t work. It was so frustrating. Then of course he had to take the… Read more »
What was this Karen, why did you have to talk to this guy on the phone? I would not have liked that very much.
He was confirming my enrollment, and he was just a super enthusiast, for lack of better, more to the point words. He would not quit. I know they always confirm during the enrollment season, but I have never met anybody like that. I was actually yelling at one point. I told him I didn’t need to do all that stuff and he said okay, if something comes up and Aetna doesn’t pay for it, it will be your fault. Oh!!!! I wanted to just scream louder. I told him that Medicare doesn’t do that stuff and he answered with something… Read more »
He’s probably 22 and has no idea what Medicare is all about.😠
He did sound young and wanting to do a good job. I couldn’t really hang up on him, though I wanted to.
I’m sorry you had to go through all that. Sometimes pharmacies or insurance companies have a health care professional to call you, but I don’t think it is mandatory to get this specific, curtaining not to read non-disclosure to you over the phone. I think it was just a courtesy with me.
Thanks Debbie. I don’t know what was driving him, especially since he complained of a sore throat from talking.
If it ever happens again ask him up front if you are required to listen to him in order to have insurance with this company.
Yes, and I could always call another agent. I’ll be prepared next time. Thanks Debbie.
Those insurance agent go-betweens are a giant PITA!
He really wore me out, I can tell you that. Had my head lying on the table during the reading of the disclosure agreements.
😏
Hello….just got off the phone with my aunt, we talked a couple hours at least..she said she was in Tucson recently.
Hi Lynn. I hope all is well with your aunt.
That was a long call, but bet you don’t do it often. I know a bit about long calls. 😁
😆
Lynn, glad you got a nice visit with your Aunt; i know you were wanting to do some serious catching up.
yes, I try to call every month but sometimes it’s two months before I get ahold of her.
I think this is one of Olive’s offsprings.
It sure is cute!
