Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

More good news; Rick was transferred to rehab around 4p 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️ Who knew an artery-scrape and an oxygen tank would get him back to his normal self in 24 hours 😘

Terrific news Pam! Bet you are on top of the world! That was a quick surgery and hospital stay. If he has to have the other side ever done it will probably not be as stressful. Let’s hope that never happens. I think my BIL just had one side done.

Good Grief! I believe we’re about to get a nasty storm; the trees are blowing like crazy; not to mention, it’s pitch dark out there and it’s only 6.30p
