Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Hello…DH came home for lunch and back to work until the rain stops, maybe in a couple hours..we had a couple places we wanted to go..Debbie, as far as financial, think he figured out it would be about the same or maybe less to have the caregivers, can’t remember for sure, it’s been awhile.
I had chicken salad for lunch…not sure I want to start any big job, maybe this or that 😀

I’m sure he made a good decision, the best for his family. He is a smart man.

Chuck’s going to grill hot dogs and asked me if i wanted one. “Sure, hey I’ve got some turkey dogs in the freezer.” The look on his face; as though I’d sprouted a second head right in front of him. 😂 I think he went to the little local market to get ‘real’ ones, as in beef.
Still laughing at the look on his face 😂

I’m glad you got a laugh. My “real” ones are either Nathan’s or Hebrew National.

UPDATE on Rick: CT showed a slow brain bleed, common in stroke patients. He’s been moved to ICU at Parkview, hospital attached to the rehab facility. Better than moving him to Memorial/Colo Spgs where they probably would’ve had to drill a hole in his head. 😧
Every time the phone rings, my heart starts pounding and my stomach feels like it does when going down the biggest drop on a roller coaster.
Sorry, I know this is depressing, i’ll going to stop talking about it for awhile.
Love and Hugs 💞

Thanks Pam……….I hope they get the brain bleed under control. It is too bad and has to be in ICU again.

I’m so sorry Pam and I know Chuck, Kitty and Rick are stressed to the max. The professionals know what is going on now and will know what to do. If you want to stop talking about it be sure it is FOR YOU, what is best for you. Not because you think we don’t want to share your feelings and stress. We do want to know and share. Not knowing is way harder. So take care of you. What ever is best. We understand how you are feeling, and we love you more than you know or believe. Hugs… Read more »
