Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Julie called. Gery helped his Dad get a shower. Judy’s brother is a diabetic and has an alarm that goes off if his sugar gets too low. The alarm went off and he was too weak to get up so Judy got up to help him at 3 AM. Brother is sleeping now but I don’t think Judy got back to bed. Julie and Gery were going to shovel snow. We didn’t talk long.

Good morning…thought I’d post now before I get busy …have to work on cards and lists, maybe a bit of cleaning, this and that…I have so many treats from here and there, want to get them sorted into piles so I can see how much each person has. My farmer’s market friend came with our big order, and I invited her in to see my decorations…not many people do I ever invite in! but I feel we are good friends and she has given me ideas when she was here before, said she has a “design” background. for the caregivers…lemon blueberry basil jam, black cherry chocolate sauce, blackberry lime, strawberry rhubarb (one of my favorites), caramel apple..also several cocoa pops (hot chocolate on a stick with marshmallows, and a cute little decoration..Dh also bought several different flavored granolas at the market for the caregivers.
lots of chat below, had to get caught up…wanted to say I do realize that Judy is doing what she can for sure…it’s just that I’m a worrywort and I do stay longer and go more often than most petsitters….and of course have to take care of mine also…love taking care of animals. I of course am also worried about Julie’s dad and Julie, hope things are ok and she can get back home soon.
I am a worrywart often, too. With many things, health, government, ….oh well 😔.

Good morning Bella Buds. We are 33 degrees but we have snow coming, probably not until Thursday. I have a routine eye appointment in Somerset Friday and want to go to Aldi’s and Walmart. Jo is going and made an appointment to get the oil changed in her van while I I’m at the doc. I’m worried about the snow interfering with the plans. It is a bigger problem for me than the average person because of my walking skills. Good morning Debbie! 😘 I hope the cards arrive and you can get busy on them. I haven’t sat down and done cards in a long time. I remember it was fun though. And maybe you will get lucky and it won’t snow at all on Thursday. Or, maybe if it does, it will melt pretty quickly. Had a reply to you, but too far below now. It basically said : I remember julies cat gypsy (or similar) . She was on the cold floor when julie came back from up north in a winter. Cat was elderly, but she was dead soon after sitting in the COLD house. I hope that jade will be ok. She has a fur coat , 🙂. I hope for julies dad, too, that he is ok. Oh my goodness! Those cookies sound delicious! All of them. I was trying to decide which one I like, but I gave up on that. I might try to make some cookies this year, but . . .
