Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.
Good night to all my buddies and peepers. Pam I’ll especially be thinking of you tomorrow and wishing and praying it goes as well and easily as possible. Love and hugs is not just something said but meant. 🙏🌹🥰♥️♥️
Thanks Debbie ♥
I appear to be getting talky. Late, I know. I think it’s because i’m making a shopping list, and the food is making me hungry. I seem to talk more when i’m hungry. More than anyone ever wanted to know, but . . . 🤣😂
You are funny. Maybe you need a snack. Funny is good. So is eating. 😆
Agreed. I think i will have a piece of bread with peanut butter. That will do it. Then i will head on to bed. I’m tired tonight and I want to get up real early tomorrow to get some stuff done.
Good night dear Karen. Grab your snack and baby doll Dutchess. Get your good nite sleep. Love you and good night. I’m heading that way too. 🥰♥️🥰
Thanks, Debbie. I hope you sleep good, with no worries. I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Love and hugs. 😘😘 🤗🤗
I’ll watch for you. ♥️

What is everybody watching?
Not Really watching anything. I watched a little of the James video.
What did u think? He is a little talky, but a good guy, i think. Just now becoming known for his work.
I liked his videos more than the talk. I watched about 8 minutes and enjoyed the video but his talk didn’t mean much. At least not in those minutes. I wanted more of her history.
Yes, he talked more about her and Shadow, and general stuff. I really loved watching her fly. In all the videos I have seen of her, I have never seen that.
The videos were beautiful.
Yes, they were. Such elegance, from a raptor!
I will show you some videos about her history. Give me a day or so, I have to remember where they are.
Thanks.
Happy to do it, dear Debbie.
😁
Lanterns and now John Oliver.
Those sound Brittish. 😄
I thought the same thing.
I remember now! John Oliver is a comedian and also i think he’s a talk show host.
He has just had three day stints on General Hospital and Dool
Lanterns is DC comics, the Green Lantern and John Oliver hosts Last Week Tonight.
Some of my posts have disappeared again. I am finding myself responding to questions or comments twice because I can’t find the first one. I’m shutting down for a bit.
Ok Karen.
Frustrating.
I know sweetie and I’m sorry. You might have better luck if you used your laptop.
I just have a computer. Not a laptop. Although the computer consists of just a big flat screen, it would be too heavy and is plugged into the wall. If i start spending more time in the office, I may use it then. Thank you for the suggestion.
Be nice if you could get the smallest laptop or a big tablet.
True. Down the road somewhere. 🫠
UGH!! That can be so frustrating. 😠
Oh it is! I know you know. 🙂
Stir fry shrimp. It was good. I think I’m going to head to bed very soon
