Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. My mom did on the basement. That is why Mike and Linda bought it, she was a hairdresser.

My mother was a hair stylist before she married my dad. My dad was tight with his money he’d spend it on new cars but he didn’t want to spend it on the House or her clothes so she went to work so she had her own money to fix up the house even though she still continued to sew and she would redesign coats from year to year to make them in style
Nice that your Mom was already self-suffficient. Weird how men were like that! My entire family married young. 16 to 18. In Alabama. That’s just how it was done then. I was supposed to be a secretary if I didn’t marry right away. 😅

Your Mother was dressed so nice😍 my Mom didn’t wear dresses at home. Just when my Dad and her went out
She always wore a uniform when she worked, like in the first photo. I think mom and dad were going dancing after she finished fixing Linda’s hair for prom.
My mom never wore a dress at home.

You can tell they were taken at different years because the tree in the front was very small in the one picture and in the lighter picture you can see the tree was huge in the front yard
I brought some free seedlings home and dad planted them….they were always special to me

Mom and dad would of stayed but after i moved to Tucson my dad wanted to live here too so he retired at 60 and then he was killed four months after they moved here.
I did here a little something about your Dad, Ardyth. That is just so sad. Such a loving family. You know you will all be together again.
I bet they were special. I saved an apple seed and my Dad planted it. It grew and bore fruit. He couln’t believe it! 😅

Who is that sexy young woman? I know the feeling of seeing the difference in the house you grew up in and how it changed with new owners. A few years after we sold my parents house we got an opportunity to go inside. We had taken Mom for something in Nashville and Nancy was with us.
