Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Just got off the phone 1 hr, 20 minutes with sister Nancy.

No we don’t talk every day. And we both talked to our other sister today. We both have the same opinion about that! 😏
Monarch released it was a female, so out of the 8 monarchs I have released 6 were females 2 males. I have to clean the cage get it ready to transfer catterpillars to the cage they are almost big enough😍
I’ve done a little cooking. I found some frozen, vacuum sealed cooked turkey in the freezer and thawed it out, got some corn on the cob prepped to microwave, cooked some Brussels sprouts and sweet potato for me and Casey, some frozen biscuits for Jo. She has left over mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. So we got plenty to eat. I’ll go wash up dishes soon. Nancy hasn’t called yet. Hi Debbie ~~~I’m just hanging out on the bed waiting for Denis to show up which should be anytime. Our patio thermometer says 110 so I’m trying to decide if I want to suffer and cut his hair out on the patio or what? He has way too much hair so I would have to Clipper it outside first. I really hate cutting people’s hair in the kitchen rick is cooking and hair gets all over But we’ll see. Sounds like you’ve been busy today cooking.

He has very thick hair and it flies all over because I use clippers around the sides and back.
If it was cute with hippie hair, scissor cut it would be ok in the kitchen

I fan pointed right on you under your awning or roof would help if it is forceful enough, but that is still HOT!
Then I would really be full of hair. A big gust of wind came and all the clippered hair ended up on me…stuck to my arms.
Oh dear. Seems the fan if positioned right could blow the hair away from you both. Like the fan to the side of you both blowing to your other side.

Just had a reveal brought the Monarch outside to dry its wings in its cage will release in a bit after its wings have dried this is the last one to reveal out of my last group of Monarchs that had 7 in it. I have 5 more caterpillars and 3 eggs togo😘
