Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Karen I know about your shoulders. Was the second thing your hands? Sweetheart you are far far away from a sissy self. Any one of your issues would get most people down! Thank you Debbie. Last week was right shoulder and right eye. Yes, i was in Colo Spgs on 9/11. One thing I learned about police officers is that they share everything with each other. I guess it’s the only way they can survive and remain sane. It was like a network. Other cities’ police and fire shared throughout the country in order to help in assisting citizens with their questions and solicit help in some situations. Oh I forgot your eye for a minute. How does it feel now? You also talked about your hands maybe Friday. I guess that was more on my mind than the eye. Poor little Dutchess, hope she feels better soon. It is hard to have a baby sick. I understand Karen about not wanted to talk when so much is going on. Just ignore me! I know I’m overboard sometimes. I’m overboard a LOT of the time.
You are fine, Debbie. Don’t ever feel bad about caring. Stay just the way you are. I did talk a little about my hand, as now that i won’t have surgery on my right shoulder, i can concentrate on my right hand. My eye feels good, knock on wood. But it makes the left one look bad now. 😅 Little D is sassy today. I’m thinking she is better. Don’t know what caused the problem. I will always worry now, after the initial scare.

I cooked roasted veggies. Okra, baby carrot, onion, a small bell pepper, a whole baked sweet potato, chunked up little white potatoes, yellow summer squash. I baked a boxed, seasoned salmon, brand Morey’s I think.

I used to like getting breakfast at Cracker Barrell. The one I liked the nest had country ham, eggs, hash browns, grits, biscuits. I think there was an option of fried apples? Can’t remember. You could get jam , apple butter.
I am thinking about that breakfast – hard! Maybe I will have it for supper.

All the song birds-most birds migrate at night. That’s why they tell people to turn their outdoor lights off it interfears with their migration, the lights are distracting and can cause them to crash into things
