Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Schools are closed for tomorrow, I put food out for the fabbit and peanuts for the squirrels filled the feeders again
I read and rested…worked on dog homework (it’s been awhile)…didn’t see Sulley upstairs, then saw the attic door open and light on..and out he comes with dirty feet and legs from the coal dust..I cleaned him off somewhat with a damp cloth, will have DH help hold him and clean later.

I’m back inside it’s so windy out there its 14 but wind chill -2 and temp is dropping. I’m having some tea, fed Jade the one with whiskers😂 They just were talking about exploding trees on the news, they don’t explode but their bark can crack and branches can fall due to the cold
Oh dear we are in the greater ice region. We may have snow first, then not have ice until Sunday. We could have up to .75 inches of ice! That is bound to cause power outages.

oh crap…yes what Pam says…no ice here but we have an extreme cold warning…i’ll be letting the faucets drip tonight.
Hopefully it will just stay to snow fall and youwon’t get that much ice Debbie

Hello!!! Lynn texted me early this morning and asked if I wanted to go to breakfast with her. Rick of course was included but he didnt want to go. We went to IHOP and had a nice breakfast.
How nice Ardyth 😋 Lian and i used to frequent I-Hop; they have excellent breakfasts.
I had never been to an IHOP and since came I have been to two…lol
