Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. We went to the grocery store..I bought a fish meal, DH will have one piece here but he’s going to make one of his hamburger concoctions at his dad’s..thinking his dad won’t like it, lol…he’ll be like “what’s this?” 😂

Everyone, please stay safe; dry and warm — it’s just awful 🙏 It was plus 12/feels like minus 4 and a dusting of snow when i got up; at 3p/MST, it’s plus 9/feels like minus 9. I put towels in my bathroom window and closed the door; hope to keep the cold in there. Cats favorite day😺 every now and then Jade shows up with a toy I haven’t seen in months, it wasn’t missing she knew where it was, I run a broom handle under the couch to find toys

Love it. I bet I have some of Millie’s toys still under the couch. It is a big sectional, too heavy ro move. I imagine aftre they tote me away for food and my house gets cleared out, they’ll find enough toys under the couch to open a pet store.

You really are allowed to call and speak to his nurse. He could be on meds making him sound weak, or he might have just had his physical therapy. But hearing from his daughter had to be good for him, and you got to tell him you love him. That means a lot. And he may have been dreading his supper! 😀😏😝

Good afternoon…since DH is working here today it’s nice that he took the dogs out a couple times. I tried to call you back and left a short message. It was just a few minutes later. I was doing Casey’s supper, phone in the living room. So I hurried and finished then went to my chair and phone. I doubt if we will get out after today for a while. I don’t think much of anyone will. We called around. Our neighbors, friends are in the same boat as us, all electric homes. We called around about indoor heaters, all sold out.
I laid down fell asleep right away, didn’t hear the phone, think everyone has electric in their homes, do you mean like a propane heater?
Yes and some are kerosene. Yes everyone has electric but not all are “all” electric. Some have wood. Maybe the wall heaters like your parents have. A few have natural gas. I think the house across the street got natural gas when it was available, which hasn’t been long. When I first moved here a lot of people had coal and fuel oil.

Yes in a power outage. Not the whole house, just living room. Casey is the big problem with some of the choices.
If you needed you could rnan electric one on your battery. We have a gas furnace but it still takes electricity to run it. I personally wouldn’t use Kerosene its way to stinky had one for camping and couldn’t stand the smell

Hello…and brrrrr…..DH came home late this morning, had to go to his rentals…so now he’s just going to work from home…he took the dogs out and let them run around briefly. I’m glad DH didn’t have to stay longer to help find the kitty…I told him to call the caregiver and tell her you’ll be late but he didn’t have to so that’s good. me too, only the second time we’ve had them…I set one on top of DH’s coffee cup..mine didn’t fit, would have dropped in so put it on a napkin. I got that from the picture of the stroopwafel on the cup..

It is done to heat the wafel up and to kinda liquify the syrup inside. Comes from the netherlands. Yumm.😋

Have you found them at Aldi’s? Don’t laugh…well okay…you can laugh…😁….is the caramel inside the wafel or something you pour over? The photos on Google show both. Maybe it depends if homemade or not.
Stroopwafel virgin here🙂 Never heard of them so had to look ii up. They sound delicious! Your husband is a wonderful, filling in for caretakers. I hope he doesn’t have to travel far.
