Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. well, DH gave his dad a grilled cheese sandwich, not his hamburger concoction…he ate half. I’ll have Casablanca on but will probably fall asleep halfway through..saw it not that long ago anyway, and have it on dvd..I do love it, though.

I have my dinner cooking, making hamburger helper lasagna, jazz it up and add tomatoes peppers and onions, I get a couple of meals out of it so less cooking tomorrow

Hello everyone, I was quite shocked to get the news about Jewel and Jade. I was attempting to see if everyone is okay. I see that so far everyone seems to be fine, but it is getting really cold. It is 5° here. Debbie, and everyone else, make sure you unhook any garden hoses that may be attached to your house tonight. (I typed this thing about 15 minutes ago, but so many things going on here, I forgot to send it.)

My husband messed up several years back and when I went out to water the yard in the Spring, I couldn’t figure out why I was hearing a drumming noise in the basement. I’m doing good just been doing this and that all day, Holy smokes on the water, I turn the water off in the basement it’s the pipe that breaks as you learned, what a mess you had😳. I will be snuggling up with Jade in a bit its about that time

Bad news? Jewel and Jade? Or something else? Jewel and Jade will be fine. I don’t know the procedure with this, whether they will just keep the baby until he is stronger, or longer until fledge? But he will be fine, and Jewel will learn.

Think about this Karen. When M15 was a first year Dad he did a bad job! The babies were hungry a lot. By his second season he became super Dad.
Debbie, I didn’t know M15 did not do well his first year as a dad. But I know it takes all of us some time to learn how to be a parent.
I’m worried that something happened to Jewel.
I had not thought of that. But she was seen this morning and they took the baby because it wasn’t fed enough.

Nope nothing,My Mom wanted to go see him buy the roads are bad with drifting snow because of the wind, they miss each other so much
Oh Julie it is wonderful they still have that love. Your Dad will be home soon. Encourage your Mom not to venture out in any bad weather. She needs to be strong for when your Dad gets home.
