Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello…today I brushed the dogs and cats, worked on what they learned in dog class…organized some things…tonight we got sandwiches at McD’s (and we never do that at night but wanted something quick)..then Aldi and FIL’s for a little while, couldn’t stay long because it was so late. Going to read awhile..

Hi Karen..not too tired yet but after reading awhile I will be. I just worked on things they already know, don’t want them to forget so I do that once in awhile, not as often as I should though.
I know what you mean. Sometimes I work on going over things with Dutchess also. I don’t want her to forget something like, oh I need to go outside for that. Basically though just the usual commands. I think the more they hear them, the better they remember them. What are you reading tonight?
I finished a book called Illinois country roads…more interesting than I thought, told the history of a lot of towns and info about old and new businesses…older book so some are closed now..this is from a bunch of unread books that I have, I’ve been reading them this winter.
That does sound interesting, Lynn. Gives you a broader perspective of things in that area. I need to read more.

I got the fish sandwich…we never go there at night so it was weird, dark outside…we get coffee and breakfast sandwiches..if we miss breakfast, the snack wrap and coffee.
