Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Just talked to my Dad he couldn’t talk long will call him this afternoon, he says he’s in for the long haul lots of different P thearapists that are seeing him-he does sound good better than the last time I talked to him. I feel so bad that he is where he is, but just have to keep thinking positive for him💖
Good Julie he is improving. And it sounds like he is motivated to keep getting better. I picture the nursing home he is in like the one I was in twice, first time because of the sodium, second time was the big one. Food was bad, but I improved. That is what counts. I imagine your Mom and Gery are bringing him some food to fill in. He will likely be there a total of 21 days and then home and home health care.
I’m not sure of the time line? and because he really doesn’t know what’s going on as far as his care I don’t ask him, my Mom and Dad are really frustrated at this point as far as what’s going on😫They and Gery have met with a social worker
I wonder why a social worker. They must be planning after discharge care. I say the 21 days because that is how long Medicare pays for inpatient rehab. Home health care is months.

Does your brother live up there now ? Or visiting? Maybe it is safer in such a rehab place right now for your father. Plus he gets the therapies he needs and is cared for. Ready to improve. Maybe home later. Hopefully. Just imagine another fall at home and nobody there to really help him. That would be worse. Just my personal opinion, you maybe feel different. for my dad, Medicare paid for three months..and I know of a couple others there longer…wonder why
and my mom had to get the bathroom remodeled before he came home..social workers came and checked out the house first
Are you sure it was inpatient rehab? My last stint with hospitals/rehabs I was discharged from the hospital where I was nearly a month then sent to rehab for 21 days. Discharge to home fell, went to Vanderbilt one week. They thought because I had that week in the hospital I could get another 21 days in rehab so they sent me to a rehab in Nashville. There was a lot of back and forth whether I qualified, but eventually I was discharged after one week. Then I had to pay about $600 for that stay. I had both Medicare… Read more »
