Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Smart way to do it. I do that when there is a salad bar that comes with a meal.

You stood 10 minutes. A little later you would probably have waited an hour.

Ardyth, if the M makes you crazy, there’s what’s known as online keyboard, i had to use it when both the f and v died on my old laptop.
BTW, the patio looks gorgeous; Rick did a wonderful job cleaning up.

My “M” on my keyboard sticks, not sure what to do?

Oh dear someone who works on computers could probably help you, might be able to unstick the one key. If you have any compressed air you can try that first. I had to buy a new keyboard for one laptop. They aren’t expensive if you can get a refurbished one. If you got a small local business it will probably be cheaper than a chain.

Good afternoon
Rick finished cleaning the other side of the patio plants…..it is a lot of work!! I dont know how he does it because he has to over all of the, cut the back, add dirt and then clean the area. I washed the bedding and clothes. I decided to wash the storm front door and windows and then I decided to wash the living room window, screens and all, what a j0b having to move our new heavy couch. my back is sore now.
I put out the new patio mat too.

Wow Ardy everything looks great! Beautiful. Now you are gonna have to have friends over for a patio party, grill out. It really looks nice and tropical. I would love to just sit out there. Sorry you got your back hurting. I really think if you got a quality binder to wear you could do things with less pain. Like Becki’s knee glove. She had a bunch of them that didn’t help, but got a quality one and it helped a lot.

If it helps even a little I’d want it. You could wear it only when you know you are going to do the things that hurt. It might be uncomfortable when you first put it on but give it 10 minutes and you will forget it is on.
