Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning…we might go out for a bit, have a few donations and want to get some coffee on sale at the farm store, one of my favorite kinds. Good morning Lynn, you always have ideas for your day. I saw a video of your son running on FB, bet it was the same video nice your Mom visited. Was she on her bicycle? 😄. Macie has dry food available all the time, and she isn’t heavy. We are lucky we don’t have to worry about Her demanding food in the morning.
wish she could still ride her bike but my DB told her not to..she’d like to, though. I have ideas but doesn’t mean they always happen…often they don’t, I just like to have some idea of plans for the day.
Her health doesn’t allow her to ride her bike?
after she broke her hip, he didn’t want her to…I don’t tell her what to do or not do…she is really sad about it but doesn enjoy her walks
Maybe get a tricycle? Safer, and still good for exercise.
if she wanted one, she’d get one…the path where she rides isn’t that smooth in some places so wouldn’t work so well there..my aunt has one that she could borrow and she never does so…..
Jade had a half bowl when I went to bed, she only eats the dry at night, doesn’t eat it during the day, she’s a night time snacker
She probably wasn’t really hungry just wanted her wet food.
We have dry food out 24 hours…they can snack whenever they want. Our cats never demand food in the AM
We have always had the dry out 24 hours a day. But we don’t leave wet out a long time.

Just filled the feeders and put a new suet cake out, sure are eating a lot of suet, the birds ate a whole cake in one day. I have a lot of woodpeckers that visit the suet feeder and nut hatches😍
HI Julie…we have those here too but the suet cakes last awhile..I mostly put those out when it’s really cold.
They just really hit it yesterday we have cold coming again and snow, maybe that’s why? who knows its there for them to eat so good they are eating😃 it just was the amount a cake usually lasts at least a couple of days
Do any of the birds have babies to feed? Probably too early for that. They like the suet for the babies, so maybe they are just trying to fuel up for the snow.
No babies they are eating to stay warm

Good morning Ardy. Tournament time soon. March 13 is a tournament date that sticks in my mind, 2015. That is when my mother had an event that led to her passing.
