Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Haha 😂😅 Lynn, I hear the word pita used as an acronym (P-I-T-A) so many different times, that I couldn’t figure out why you were calling this egg salad thing a bad thing. !!! 😁🤗.

Good morning Bella Buds and a good Saturday to you. Wow we are 58 outside! I understand we are soon to have Meteorological spring, March 1st. Hey I think that is tomorrow! Astronomical spring is March 20. Glorious spring! We go to daylight time I think the 8th. So, there is some good news, just don’t watch tv!
Yall have a good day.
It will be so nice when we change the time…more time to do things and more cheerful.
I agree but I still wish we would just keep the time year ‘round.
I wouldn’t want to lose the long days in June, though.
The sun will shine the same number of hours regardless of the clock. But because I’m not an early riser, I miss some of them.
oh…thought I heard it would only stay light out until around 7 if we changed it
Same number of light hours but you have more morning light instead of evening. Some people advocate for permanent daylight savings time, some standard time. I think this division is why they haven’t made whatever time is chosen permanent.
that’s what I mean, I want it to be light until 9 in June and until 8 before and after
I dont think its right to change the time anywhere……but seems you can change anything now days.
We get dark here at 7pm in the summer but it id daylight at 5a and I love that!!!
When i go back to MN i am always surprized it stays light so late.
The time change I think was first mentioned by Benjamin Franklin! I think our current system has been ongoing since the 1960’s. Half the country has your preference. Half the country mine. That is why nothing gets changed. My real preference is to just make the time stay the same. I’m willing to let your side win the decision if it means just keeping the time the same. People have been messing with clock time I think since the time transitioned from the sundial to the pocket watch! I just looked at a map showing world time. There were all… Read more »
Being light later in the summer months is so nice😍
It is for me because I seldom see the sunrise anyway.
You can, do what I do I never change my clocks😂 just have to subtract a hour
I have enough trouble living on the border of two different time zones. It would be possible for me to have to deal with a two hour difference. When we are on standard time Ardy’s time is two hours different from me. When we are on Daylight time she is two hours different.
Good morning Debbie😘 just made myself breakfast was wondering if you posted? and just as a sat down you did😍
I was probably a little later than usual.
😘
