Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. It’s sad to see the article in our paper titled English Learner programs uncertain 🙁 I think it’s really important and needed and had considered being an ESL teacher…my sister did something like that, went to different schools working with students who spoke different languages..well, she did that for awhile.

Good afternoon…we went to a visitation for a neighbor’s mom (didn’t really know the mom), then to Kroger…just had the leftover k of c fish and sides, yum…DH is right, as good as or better than the best fish we got at any restaurant so far. We’re going to take the dogs for a little outing in awhile, have a couple places to go and maybe a walk at the cemetery and/or FIL’s we’ll see.

Me too but I’m not sure they even have fish and if they do I bet it is bad.
we used to have it at kfc, it was a combo kfc/ LJS (Long John Silver’s) but we still just called it KFC.
Thats why I wasn’t sure our Knights of Columbus is not around anymore, they folded. Used to go to one that was in my old neighborhood. They served food and had a small bowling alley, it was a fun place to go. I think because there was no interest in it the chapter folded, and the building was sold
and maybe less members, less interest? well, guess I’m thinking of the VFW and American Legion…a nearby town had their VFW close. This k of c does very very well, lots of people have wedding receptions, anniversary parties, graduation parties, on and on…the Hall of Fame thing that DS was in was held there, always something going on…Bingo, corned beef and cabbage, fish meals, etc..once in awhile a prom is held there.
I had to google it. It is a Catholic service organization. Yep, those kind of places have the best.

Another beautiful sunny day; heading to 95 🌞 Cooled down nicely last night; opened the cross-breeze windows and my room went from 72 to 58 = perfect. Made a trip to recycle today, included several large boxes. Normally when i go to Sam’s we just pick-up the cat-food, they were out of stock so i had to have ’em shipped — all those boxes; Lordy! Thank goodness for recycling 😘

It will be It’s out of town will have to figure how to get there will have to see if other neighbors are invited? and hitch a ride with them? I have some numbers to call too like daughters or daughter inlaws its on the invatation
