Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello….we’ve been home for a bit, had to put things away…went to Maurice’s and got two $10 tops, then the farm store for dog and cat treats and canned cat food…also bought salt and vinegar almonds..then to FIL’s for a little while and for a walk at the cemetery to look for my friend’s grave…took awhile but we found it. No one said anything to the people with the newfies….everyone wanted to see them. Og we saw a Mastiff too…..it must of been Big dog day…lol

our neighbors had a mastiff, yes they are so big! he was a big teddy bear, miss him…he would come to the fence to see me when I walked by.
love the big dogs but they do eat a lot! and the neighbor of course could not pick him up when he started having bad problems and her DH was away, felt bad for her…think she finally got someone to help. I said yell but most people wouldn’t yell but might say something when it’s just too hot…I don’t think they need to be at parades or really noisy events either but it’s harder on some dogs than others, I guess.
Lynn, Rick and I agree with you. The street fair used to say NO DOGS and were pretty strict about it and now they arent it seems. it wasnt crowded yesterday but it usually is and then dogs get in the way and it is hot here……kids in strollers are the same height as most dogs…….. But, it sure was fun to see the big dogs yesterday. I just posted pictures was all.

Double yellow head Amazon. Even a sweet parrot can try to remove jewelry. I had to quit leaving pierced earrings in.
There was a white parrot that tried to take off because the girl walked over too fast to get the parrot for me. The white one doesnt like women she said. So a male volunteer had to go after it.

Catholic charities do a lot of good things, probably for veterans too. There aren’t many Catholics in my area. We have one, possibly two small churches here. There are big churches in the cities.

Do your Catholic churches have fish fries? Several of our around here do. We go to different Catholic churches almost every Friday during Lent. We do go to one restaurant that does a good fish fry. One of my favorite things at the Church fish fries is the desserts. The church women all make them and sell them for one or two dollars. They are all so good.
