Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hello !! Been watching the air show, current and previous performances today. Just love the jets. I was hoping to see the FA18, but they didn’t have that there today. Or maybe the F-22 Raptor, but I didn’t see it either. I did see the new F-35, the one they’ve been testing all over the country. It was pretty nice looking. And fast. Now I’m watching the fireworks and stuff. 🎈🎈🎉🎉

Yes, they flew the F16 alot, and others. Don’t get me wrong, I love them all, but I do have my favorites. 😅 I did get a little worried earlier that they would have trouble with the show because of the weather, but it seems to have gone along just great! I heard this is the biggest air show in the country. I can believe it. Thank you for pointing it out earlier today. 🥰
Your welcome. I’m not sure if it is “the” biggest show but it certainly is up there at the top. The one in Dayton Ohio is supposed to be really big too.
In Wisconsin we have the Air Show here, Planes and Jets come from all over the world and our country
What makes you like one plane over the other? I like the Osprey. I guess it isn’t as cool as the fighter jets, but I like that it is combining a helicopter with a jet.
I just lost everything I was typing, so I will start over. I like the speed, the power, the appearance, and the capabilities of the plane. I also like the Marines Harrier jet, the first that could take off and land vertically. That sounds similar to an Osprey. I will have to check that out. 😆
How did you learn so much?
Working for the government. I got to go and see them in person, either as they were being built, or as they were preparing them for action. I couldn’t help but get interested. They were just so amazing.

The Harrier is a fast-jet ground-attack aircraft specialized in combat, whereas the Osprey is a tiltrotor transport aircraft designed for speed, range, and troop/equipment insertion.
Both aircraft provide crucial V/STOL capabilities to the Marine Corps from amphibious assault ships. Per youtube

I thought this was going to be part of the fireworks show but it is before the fireworks. I love the drones. Every dot you see is a drone and they make them fall in place to make a shape. At first they had the Liberty Bell and it rang.
It was cool there’s a rain delay because of light rain for the fire works
