Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Julie’s back! T-Rex.
That is cute, and smart. He found every day things to make it. Interesting.
Yes all old tools and metal from old farms
.
Just another angle its to big to get a whole picture of it I can’t back up far enough to get it all in
T Rex is finished😍the thing is huge
I didn’t know he was making a whole T-Rex. I thought he finished when he made the head. Tell him your friend in KY liked his art.
He did the head first then figured out how to do the body, The first time I saw it he was thinking of how the body should pose, He was thinking standing up but it was just going to end up to tall and to support the weight of the head
The result is good, he is talented.
His back yard is full of little animal sculptures
Cool. Does he try to sell some?
Pretty.
..
Thats a pretty photo😍
Juliiiieeeee. Where did you go? No post since 4. Hope everything is ok.
I was wondering too
Hope every thing is ok.
I just laid down for a bit, backs bothering me, then went for a walk
That is good that you rested.
I needed to
No one is probably interested but just in case, the Thunder Over Louisville fireworks show starts at 8:30 CDT. You can watch live on YouTube. Since we don’t get the actual tv channel with YouTube TV, I’m using the internet browser to get regular YouTube and getting it on regular tv. Just search for Thunder over Louisville, pick the live video. You may see WLKY which are the tv letters, and that is it. The show is always good, but of course tv fireworks isn’t the same as fireworks in person. It usually shows a very large US flag pulled… Read more »
I am sure it is interesting but I am going to bed soon and I fall asleep right away.
I understand but it is only not quite 6 your time.
Thanks Debbie😍
We’re back …the wind has let up just a bit and there’s a frost warning tonight…freeze warning tomorrow night. We’re having DiGiorno tonight, yum…I’m tired so looking forward to just lying on the couch and reading later.
We eat a lot of DiGiorno’s. The quality used to be better, but they went down in quality and price. I imagine they had to to compete as a grocery store item. But they are still very good.
they were on sale so DH bought three of them.
Good afternoon! I went to the Dollar tree this morning, no 4 o’clock seeds so I bought pineapple gummy bears. The went to JCP to return two tops I bought last Sunday. Rick and I did go to McDonalds on the East side of town just to take pics of the T-Rex. Then we went to Fourth Ave to take a picture of the new mural of Lute Olson and Tommy Lloyd, past and now coaches of the Wildcat 🏀⛹️♂️🏀 team. I finally had him stop at Clint Eastwood’s mural. Then I was on the phone with john for an… Read more »
My chat friend Andy sent me these and I got the today!
Lucky you! Good friend.
😘
Those are some seriously fabulous murals. 💖 They did a good job on the T-rex, he looks almost real; little kids must love it.
i had to laugh about your decision to get pineapple gummy bears in lieu of 4 o’clock seeds; both great products, but hardly interchangeable. 😂
Lol I got candy instead…
“It was my son’s idea,” Michelle Retzer said of the statues, explaining that then-2-year-old Garrett was a “huge dinosaur fan.”
Helping the Retzers’ cause was their ability to get the concrete animals made locally. They contracted with Amado-based La Reata Studios — which Michelle said was one of the companies that helped make the dinosaurs used in “Jurassic Park” — to have the creatures built and shipped to their store, at a cost of around $55,000.

that cracks me up, too! was just going to say that..gummy bears instead of flower seeds 😂 love the Clint mural.
Hi Ardy, what are 4 o’clock seeds? You got your Quarter Pounder! You should be happy, but I think you should get one more than once a year. Does the T-Rex belong to the city or commercial property? Oh dear, my head feels funny when I talk tech that long.
They are flowers that bloom in the afternoon. I used to grow them but they stopped coming up. Julie is planting some seeds so she will mail me some.
The Trex belonged to the last owners of McDonalds.
How nice the owners made the dinosaur for the public. You can laugh at me, but I at first thought maybe 4 o’clock seeds were the type of gummies you usually talk about. 😁
😘
Are you talking about flower seeds? I agree with Pam, not interchangeable.
I was going to buy crab plates too and decided I didnt need them so I bought myself candy.
They are cute.
Anyone heard about the new Pixar animated movie, Hoppers? The main character was based on the behaviors of Ginger, an elderly resident beaver at the Cheyenne Mtn Zoo in Colo Spgs. 🤗
Awwwwww.
Yes I have heard of it…that is cool!!
I’d like that movie.
