Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Just got done talking to my Mom, things are going good up there, they are going to see my Dad today-they saw him on Friday and he stood up😍 the woman who does his PT really pushes him to do things and he listens😘
Oh Julie, that is a lot of progress. It hasn’t been all that long ago when you were happy he could sit in a wheelchair. Was it the stroke or just all of it that caused the weakness? It is good he has a PT that pushes him.
Stroke and laying in the position he was in for so long, he’s even doing speach therapy
Speech therapy because of speech, or speech therapy because of food swallowing? I know that seems like a strange question. Both me and my mother had a speech therapist and we could both talk as usual. It was swallowing.
I went from liquid food to puried food to soft food to regular food, accessed by a speech therapist.
Good late morning…went to church, love the woman pastor who takes over when ours is on Sabbatical..plus it was over a half hour earlier! Went to Mc’d’s for breakfast sandwiches..I got the McChicken biscuit and a decaf coffee. Home now and no plans to go out, a bit cold for late April, or is it mid…anyway…the sun is out so that’s good..I’ll sweep on the screen porch and maybe put the hammock back in, it’s hanging outside and there’s a freeze warning for tonight. Think I’ll make some tea or decaf coffee now..
Good morning Lynn, sounds like you are having a relaxing Sunday. Your porch must be fairly roomy for a hammock. It must be on a frame. We have/had a hammock on a frame. Does caffeine make you jittery?
yes, it’s on a frame. to me it’s not that big of an area. jittery, well maybe it would if I have too much…it can keep me awake at night so I only have one with caffeine now.

Good morning Bella Buds. Beautiful but a cool 52, warming up by Tuesday or Wednesday. I was watching the end of CBS Sunday Morning where they always have a nature something. They had the cutest prairie chickens! They did this very fast dance with their feet. They didn’t say it was a mating dance but probably was. It was so funny. They really are pretty. We have Prarie chickens here Debbie they are beautiful birds, They really are Pinnated Grouse, my Mom and Dad have them in the woods around the house, they are very territorial, and have been known to chase cars. Well I’m up drinking coffee, just did the dishes, scooped the cat box, fed Jade. Charged my phone-now time to call my Mom😍 They are funny birds, and yes the size of a chicken hence the nicname

Good morning!! I am up way too early again. Dutchess woke me up, wanting to eat. It’s a little soon, so we will wait. I have her on the new, prescription kibble now, instead of the canned version. She seems to like it so far. Very tiny kibble bits, all about the same size and shape. It should work work great for her tiny teeth and tummy. Good morning Karen. Good that you got Dutchess on kibble that she will eat. It will make her healthier and easier for you. I imagine it is Royal Canine or Hills Science Diet. Maybe she will gain strength and make her way back to her old self. Get your rest and have a good day when you wake.
