Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I live in Colorado Springs and she is in Pueblo, so about 30 to 40 miles away. It’s longer than it seems like it would be. It wasn’t as long as this when I was younger. 🤣

Debbie, I did know about the NEFL egg. I posted it somewhere. I thought here, but it could have been another site. I don’t know about egg #2. I have to go check. Exciting times!! And I thought I answered all my msgs yesterday, but I’ll go check that also. Been talking to my sister-in-law a lot, so I may have missed something here or there. 😳 🤔

Debbie: She is really having it rough. We are still waiting to find out what happened. My niece was only 31.
Gabby and Beau at NEFL received their first little gift on November 23rd, Sunday. So, Gabby should lay the next egg tomorrow, Wednesday. She has been doing some delayed incubation though. I don’t know why. I haven’t seen Beau around today, I don’t know what he’s up to. But then again, I haven’t spent too much time with this nest today or yesterday.
I’m so sorry for your SIL. What does she think happened to her daughter? Is that her only child? So much tragedy in your family Karen. Hugs to you sweetheart, you have been through so much.
i think some feel like delayed incubation is so the bobble heads will hatch closer together with less sibling rivalry. Do you have the NEFL site that has a chat? Not the rolling kind over to the side.

We have no idea what it could be. They did some blood work and everything in her room at home, but couldn’t find anything strange. My sister-in-law does have other children, but they are older. We heard we might not have the answer for 30 to 90 days. That is ridiculous! Anyway, she is a pretty strong woman in her own right. She’s the only person I know who has pulled out her own molar back in the day, when she couldn’t afford a dentist. She’s probably trying to keep me strong! 🙂

Hi Lynn, yes he did. They are all pretty good. This doesn’t go off until 11:00PM EST, all they have left to do is their freestyle. I wonder how they will fill the time.
