Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Former VP Pence is on Face the Nation so sad to hear him talk about Jan. 6th people need to hear him talk about his experience, living through that day😳

I meant to watch that but forgot about Pence. I watch the first part with Zelenskyy but wasn’t too interested in the second segment so I switched to tennis. Maybe I can find it on YouTube later.

The man went through hell, could tell he was having a hard time talking about it, people wanted to kill-hang him. He was always the yes man till he said NO, kind of a hero in a way?

Yes to all you said. I think he had no choice but to be a yes man or he would have been left out of the loop. I don’t think he could have been “fired” because he was elected on a ticket, but it could have been effectively the same if he wasn’t a “loyal” yes man. But he did the right thing when it mattered.

Nope couldn’t be fired-because elected he would of had to be impeached. I just learned that yesterday, DJT couldn’t fire him

Good morning Bellas gosh its so beautiful out there, rain expected tonight!!! I’m so happy about that😍plans today seeds get them planted before the rain. Yesterday I added 100# of top soil and 50# of composted Manure plus more blood meal and I have lots of garden worms. I had put leaves in the garden to combat a clay problem I had to much in my soil the leaves help break down the clay and worms are back again. I kept seeing less and less of them because of the clay, seems the soil is on the rebound. Years ago… Read more »

Took a lot of work-physical work and to see it work is the best thing ever😍 I won’t have to do this again. Can add more soil always. But what I was doing is dig up a shovel of soil-its compacted then I would break up the clumps with my hands, no using a rototiller as it compacts the soil even more. That was clarified in my Google searches-no tiller when you have clay

I can understand all of that, and how much work it was. My dad had good soil and the tiller sorta fluffed the soil up, for lack of a better word. His garden was big and beautiful.

Good morning…sitting on my porch listening to the birds and watching a squirrel eat peanuts. Debbie, to make it short, DH caught it eventually (very elusive) and filled in more holes outside…I held the ladder sometimes, even though he said I didn’t need to. The chairs I bought at the sale are cute and small…I set a basket of books on one and not sure about the other one…really only wanted one..they were $3 apiece but said I could have both for 5 (I knew her) and I couldn’t resist…I might even give one to my sister. No plans for… Read more »

Good Morning Lynn😍 that’s a deal on the chairs, I would of gotten both too😘 could you use them for little plant stands? like put a pot of flowers on them? just a idea😃 your guest is gone and holes patched that’s great. Was DH able to follow the cave rescue in Laos? they had rescuers from all over the world help with this, they have been trapped for 10 days, they became trapped because the cave flooded and they pumped the water out so they could get out. Just wondering with his spelunking experience if he was able to… Read more »

Hi Julie…I don’t have plants inside and don’t want the chairs to get ruined outside…I’ll find a place for it or give to my sister if she wants it but she might not. I don’t know if he saw any of that, I saw some of it, just something that popped up. and Julie, this is funny but the “professional cavers” don’t like to be called spelunkers…that’s for amateurs…I mean, I don’t care if you do of course…but his group takes classes, does rapelling practices, etc…he hasn’t done that in years, though but you remembered…

I was thinking about you being on your porch with a pot of flowers😍 true the chairs wouldn’t weather well and could get damaged. That’s funny about spelunking, I think its a great word always thought it was fun to say😃 I just remember DH liked to do that, and when they showed the narrow spaces they crawled through I thought of him, doing that😘

I’m lucky Jade has’nt messed with my plants well once she knocked one on the floor and the pot didn’t break cleaned up the mess put the pot back where it was and she hasn’t done it again. I just think she jumped up into the plant and knocked it off-it wasn’t from playing with the plant

Good morning Lynn, I’m glad your husband took care of the bat. You were brave to hold the ladder. I bet your little chairs are cute. Are they doll sized or more toddler size? Have a good day.

Because I think you were a bit afraid of the bat, why you had trouble sleeping and said you were stressed. You didn’t like going in the attic also if you knew a bat was in there.

I was outside though and he kept moving the ladders around so that was no problem at all..he didn’t need me but I wanted to help in some way. Having bats in the attic was easy ….I just stayed out…flying around the house and having pets is a literal nightmare

With them chasing the bat or following it around you handled it perfectly to move them out of they way-but you had to catch them first, that was hard because you had to act fast

Wow I hope Gem knows this. I just heard Zepbound will soon only cost Medicare recipients $50 a month. That is what Gem is on, and it is supposed to be better than what I’ve been taking. A person would probably save more than that on the grocery and restaurant bill a month.

This is what I found: Yes, Zepbound will be available for $50 a month for certain eligible groups through government and manufacturer programs. [1, 2] Here is how to get it: Medicare Beneficiaries: Starting July 1, 2026, eligible Medicare Part D enrollees can get the Zepbound KwikPen for $50 per month through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program. [1, 2] Commercial Insurance: For patients with eligible commercial insurance, manufacturer programs continue to offer Zepbound for as little as $25 to $50 a month. [1] Self-Pay (No Insurance): If you are paying out-of-pocket, Eli Lilly offers Zepbound through its LillyDirect Self-Pay Pharmacy with monthly pricing starting between $299 and $449, depending on the dosage and format. [1] Check… Read more »
