Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Evening stoppig in for a bit. Yes Gabi, the best thing is just to turn off the computer and go to bed. If there are unanswered posts, then you can still answer the next day and I will see them when I wake up. It is not a problem, I see most posts, especially if the post is a reply. My bell tells me.

Oh no, its not stressfull chat wise. I enjoy it a lot. I was talking about things in my life in general. I almost never put stuff off, which can be stressful sometimes.

The only thing important is just to do as you prefer for chat. It is good you don’t put stuff off. Sometimes I do put off the start, but once I get going I am compelled to get it done.

I didn’t see Pam’s numbers for today, but it was 93 in my backyard a couple of hours ago. I am really hot. Plus I was sick all last night and part of today. Just the nausea thing. But that is bug enough for me. Actually. Got sick a couple of times. 🙄 But it is cooling down. I may not be able to chat much tonight.

Hello……………..I walked today (havent for awhile now)and the new gal in the hood with two dogs is moving to Phoenix for her job. Oh dear Ardy, you are a mean, green, cleaning machine. I would have left the wood dust and washed the pieces as I needed them! And you didn’t even get an egg! Now put things in front you are most likely to use.
I’ve never made spaghetti sauce totally from scratch, like fresh tomatoes. I always start with jarred sauce and then by the time I finished to me it was “homemade” I put so much stuff in there. Bet Rick wanted to use up all those homegrown tomatoes.
It was gross under the cupboards and the shelf has drawer dust. I have to put things back in the order i found them for Rick, he does the cooking. He usually makes a batch when we have tomatoes.
I would of cleaned it up right away too Ardyth, can you put a towel over them?

Another sunny 95-100 degree day; at least the humidity/dew point is at a reasonable level; it’s been just terrible these last couple days.
La Junta, 6 miles east is opening an Auggies Market where the old Safeway was located; Safeway closed about 19mos ago, so tomo will be a big day. Grand Opening is set for Sat; but shopping opens to the public tomo; looking forward to that. Lots of the folks who lost their jobs at Safeway have been hired 🤸♀️🤸♀️

Hi Debbie, that’s what I’m hoping; it’s how i used Safeway, as a ‘fill in the blanks’ store. It’s why i want to wander around to see what brands they carry.
