Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Yesterday Jo brought home a grilled chicken wrap she got from a small, locally owned and operated produce store. It has been here as long as me. A few years ago they began having a small salad bar and making sandwiches for a lunch crowd. Now they have some daily meat/veggie home cooked meals. Jo ate half her sandwich and gave me the other half. She paid only $3.99 for this wrap and there was a lot of chicken!

Good morning Bella Buds another hot day. Chat was out I guess around 9 last night . I don’t know exactly when it came on this morning but I think I had checked probably about 9:30 this morning and it was still out. We are still hot and muggy. Jo always closes blinds and drapes as soon as it gets dark. Good morning Ardy! It felt weird last night and this morning with no chat. Last night I had a double whammy which really had me confused. We lost tv and chat about the same time. I do to. Seems something is missing. For several years now I have thought repeatedly how bad it would be for me if SPO suddenly went out of business, just didn’t exist any more. You would probably be surprised just how often I think about that, and how painful the thought is.
