Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Yep, only about an hour and a half away. But, here, it has been hot, hot, and dry. Need rain. No hail, tornadoes, etc.
It is like us and Lexington. We are about that distance from them. Recently they had street flooding and some downed trees and damage. It wasn’t really bad, I don’t think homes actually were flooded. We had some rain, not a lot and no storm.
That is good.

I had cataracts on both eyes years ago, at different times, and both were layered off at different times. My left eye then grew a film years that also had to be removed. Now, my right eye has grown the film, which must be layered off. It is hard to see – blurry, a little dark. This removal is called YAG surgery. I googled yag surgery and it is the same surgery used post-cataract surgery, but it can be used for other things, like leaking blood vessels and intraocular pressure.

I hope they don’t shoot the fireworks, but I bet they do. I didn’t know the lake was man-made. Our lake was created for flood control by damming up the river.
I remember it well. I had to work at 3:00 pm and we only had swamp cooling. It was so hot and even our huge cactus were wilting so I watered them before work. I didnt know how hot it was until that evening when i got home from work.

Hello I’m still doing stuff even a load of laundry. I’m hanging out with Judy tomorrow, I get to see her grandson and his girl freinds, they are visiting from Louisiana. That’s who we stayed with when we went there on the trip. Oh and on my news there was going to be fireworks at our semi pro ball park tonight, its been canceled there’s a near by eagles nest and the eaglets are not fledged yet so they canceled for Eagle safety😘 It’s a very populated area

I’m glad you see Judy and her grandson tomorrow. That will be fun. How long will they visit? It is good they cancelled the fireworks. I really think we don’t need noisy fireworks. Stick with just pretty ones, maybe the ones that just sizzle.
