Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Debbie, I saw that you left a question for me but I’m in bed. I’m tired. I will answer it tomorrow. Here’s a picture of what we ate for supper. Grilled chicken legs, roasted red bell pepper and a sweet potato.

Debbie, how did that purple sweet potato taste? Any different than the orange ones? Which roasted veggies?
I think I like the deep orange ones the nest. I was about out of the roasted veggies. I had some zucchini, squash, onion left. I think that was all, maybe one baby carrot.
Zucchini and yellow squash? Yum.

We are moving Nikkis scheduled time of her pills back an hour every week until I leave because Rick does not want to get up at 2am.
I will change the time back to 2am week by week when i get back from MN. It really is a better schedule if we go out to a concert at night
I understand. You are getting less sleep and probably doing more. Bet your mind is constantly going. Remember to do this. Don’t forget that. Pack that, make this appointment, what am I forgetting? I little excitement.
I am getting the same amount of sleep but have to get up at midnight for a week for Nikki…then 11pm and then 10pm which Rick will do.
My list of things has been made for 2 months and my clothes but I keep changing them . I keep a generic list to go by from trip to trip
I used to have a generic list I typed out for camping trips. Those are really hard to prepare for. Everything like toilet chemicals to stocking a fridge, being sure ice is made ahead of time, pet food which is really a big deal for Casey. Then I would scratch out things not needed for the trip, or add something that is needed.
Game is getting very intense
Not good. US gets a red card which means they have to play one player short for the rest of the game.
What caused that?
I saw a replay just now. Not his fault but I guess that doesn’t matter.
It should matter but that is not the way the refs saw it.
Any time a player gets a red card they have to leave the game and no one can sub in for them. They have to play short. A red card is for an extremely offense. I did not feel the red card was deserved. IMHO
I don’t either. How many minutes is a game? I know at least 90 minutes. And then the refs can extend the time? Seems so weird to me.
90 minutes plus added time for injuries.
