Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Supper is over. It’s raining. The birds are loving it. The hummingbirds are going crazy and the mountains are rumbling from the thunder. I love it and I’m going to go to bed. Pork chops twice baked potatoes and French style. Green beans for supper. Big big lightning strike now

I found out that CNN didn’t air the speech either, just showed parts and made comments. The speech was over before I figured it out. I thought they were showing parts of past speeches and that today’s speech was just late, which frequently does happen.

Another hot summer day with no rain in sight. Those Canadian fires are so awful; the smoke/ash reminds me of the Mt St Helen’s eruption back in 1980. Hope all those affected are well-masked.

The rain will have to help but I would think smoke will persist until fires are out. I guess it could happen if winds shift, but then it will just go another place.
