Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Still have the smoke and it looks like rain😃 we need some rain badly on my walk yesterday saw in peoples yards many plants that are wilted and dying and if we get rain today it might be just in time to save them😍

😍 its sprinkling right now-just need a slow steady rain to happen, just got a alert for severe weather this afternoon-they have said that a couple of times now and its so dry the storms just fall apart and we don’t get any rain🙄

Ok, I had to try to solve “something.” Since I can’t solve any questions about what’s going on in eagles Jackie and Shadow’s situation, I decided to work on the information we received about “Eaglet Scout at the NCTC” nest passing away and the associated request for signatures on a petition. I signed the petition yesterday thats why I posted it here, I do agree with the petition to change, They could provide medical care once I think intervention to try to save a animal that is suffering so bad if not to save its life but to euthenize to stop the suffering thart was happening, would of been the right thing to do under the cicumstance with what was going on. Sorry I skipped out on everyone. We got involved watching Speed with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, probably misspelled. If you have ever seen that movie it is very intense and you can’t take your eyes off it! It really is a good movie, never a dull moment. I am so confused. The adult male at this Nest is named Scout, and he has been at the nest for about 3 years. This picture shows them losing an eaglet at 3 months old, but I don’t remember them having an eagle in March and losing it in June. Bella and Scout now have two fledglings that they are taking care of.
