Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. She had them but I didn’t know the difference in them and it is impossible for me to carry one without my walker. I left it by the driveway to help me get it in the house. But it is scary for me just to walk on grass with just my cane and no way carry a watermelon. She would put it in the car for me.
This is what happened to my arm just from trying to pick the last watermelon off the kitchen floor into the sink. It got darker now, the bruise, and grew around to the front of my arm.
Oh ouch Debbie,you burst a blood vessel, you need to buy half a melon or one that is already cut up. Its not worth getting a bruise over
It is probably because of my blood thinner. Nancy is having what is called the Watchman inserted in a place in her heart next week. This allows people who are using a blood thinner just because of a history of AFIB to discontinue it and take a baby aspirin. Being on a blood thinner can be dangerous, especially in an accident. I had internal bleeding and was hospitalized one or two nights. All I did was strain trying to get out of a chair with no arm rests.
I was on a blood thinner for many years too. Not anymore. Glad Nancy is on a Watchman.

She hopes she is doing the right thing. There is more about it I don’t know, like something that has to be done to be sure it heals properly.

@Ardyth ~ Tucson it’s hard to tell what it is (fisher), you were the one who saw it in person so would be the best judge, either way you sure got your share of wildlife, and you got lots of great pictures! glad you are home safely despite the hiccup in your travels

I just figured out the Fisher cat thing-some people call Fishers, Fisher cats, I don’t know why because they don’t look like cats? and are alot gigger. This is a dead one but shows the size comparison to a human
Oh I’m so glad you got to safely see the bears. Reminds me of childhood trips to the Smokies. On the main drag through the park the traffic would back up a long ways with people hawking at bears. We thought it was really something. My Dad got chased by a bear because he got too close trying to take a picture. 😂

they were thawed but cold, they were in a insulated freezer bag, so we threw them in the freezer

Ardy, when fish was frozen, is thawed (still cold ) and then frozen again, this can cause severe food poisoning , because of bacteria.
When it was still cold, it still isnt safe. When it was packed well, it still isnt safe. Bacteria create toxins, cooking doesnt really help. I would say : dont eat it, please. Its dangerous.
Very dangerous, to eat frozen, thawed, frozen fish.

Not cooking a live chicken😂she is egg bound and is soaking in warm water to relax her muscles to pass the egg. You just don’t see this every day
I’m glad you told me it was a chicken! I’m not sure I’d known. That looks so funny. But being egg bound is a serious problem. She may need more calcium in her diet.

Good morning Bella Buds and happy FriYah. It is beautiful out. I was cold when I got up but it is starting to warm up. I have thought all morning it was Saturday, even looked for shows I usually watch Saturday morning like Lucky Dog. Then I wondered why some news shows were on that don’t air Saturday morning.
