Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good evening…we had rain on and off and it’s been so gray all day, made me tired…so I didn’t do a lot, just little things and read and rested. I just had some sweet corn and tomato..the sweet corn wasn’t as good as what we had last time but the tomato was from the caregiver’s garden and good. Looks like we might get more rain the next couple days.

Got the landline fixed; no dial tone for days, such a pain. 🙄 The tech out here is great, he gave me his personal cell and his supervisors in case we can’t get a repair ticket scheduled/done in a timely manner. 🤗 It’s the phone Rick uses; he gets priority since he’s disabled. Chuck and i are going to try and talk him into getting a flip phone and put him on my Consumer Cellular; it’ll save him about $40 a month!

I use a flip phone for phone calls its fine. I do miss my landline cordless phone, I could walk around outside with it. I didn’t want a cell phone I had a answering machine. I don’t like having a phone with me, I was not home and I didn’t need to know if I got a call or text.
I used to garden all day, no phone, just me and my dog. Great times. Less stress!!
Y’all are taking such good care of Rick. I’m sure it means a lot. Your telephone guy reminds me of our guy. He does land phone and internet, used to be cable too. He stops by sometimes just to visit. It is a perk of living in a small community. Bet your neighbors are willing to help too. Oh dear, we can relate to the funny right now!

Stopping in to say Hi, felt good laying down under the covers listening to the rain. Its come down hard a couple of times but has just been a good soacker all day and will rain tonight and tomorrow, could get 3 inches of rain in total and that will really help nature and the farmers crops😍
