Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Made it back home before it started raining and lightning made me jump-I checked the sky before I went to the Dollar store saw no lightning if I had I wouldn’t of walked outside. It just happened fast. I did see people have their cars covered windows ECT. 2 inch hail possible late afternoon

I read an article that said 2 of the Great Lakes, Michigan and Huron, I think, have been filling with more water than they should. You have no idea what Colo would do to get some of that over-flow. 😔
Theres lots of flooding due to the rain, some emergancy evacuations are happening

Yes Pueblo chilis are grown in Pueblo; there’s a friendly rivalry between NMs governor and Colo’s every September — sometimes Hatch wins, sometimes Pueblo 😋 They’re both delish.
Still wish I could try them someday!

Hello…I’ve been sitting on my screen porch…did some reading, a kid’s craft kit 😀 and even some coloring…we are under a tornado watch until 8…it’s been windy but sunny…we’ll probably get rain tonight.

Slinky! That is only one slinky, I bought 3! I put it up quickly with little bread ties. If it works out I’ll make it better. See that old piece of stout foam? We put that in the bottom of his cage covered with several layers of newspapers for night time sleeping. We have done that since his stroke to cushion any fall.

Well that little Smart 🫏. Notice I have not put a slinky on the left side of the cage. He figured that out and down he went. 😂😫Brat. Never fear, I have two more Slinkies. One will be put there soon.
Everytime he tries the slinkie he’s figuring out some thing, you have given him enrichment and now he has a puzzle to figure out🤔

One guy tried to sell us the glue on stuff. Glad we didn’t go with him. The glue on stuff is still called LVP, but all of it is thin. No cushion. It is why when I buy something I do a lot of research. I’m pretty well educated by the time I buy. No impulse buying hardly ever.

Storms are not happening till 5-6 pm and storm chasers are all ready out😳they say big tornado risk today here
I’m sure glad you have a basement. If I built a house it would have a basement, and in the basement, a room tornado proof. Nancy has a small tornado proof room in her apartment off the laundry room. Next time I see Shonda I’ll ask if she knows how it was constructed.
You can buy storm shelters, maybe hers has renforced concrete walls and ceiling? and in the center of the house?
I don’t know exactly how it is organized on that floor, but there are two more floors above it. Just to look at it, it looks like a regular little room.

Yes I was thinking the same that it will be over. But the thing is, is that the storms will keep making more storms. Our conditions are just ripe for producing storms and they can extend watches into the night
