Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I’m down stairs, watching the weather, there is a tornado north east of me, its weakening now. The siren went off and I was looking out my window to the north east, there was one big black cloud over there and I was thinking that doesn’t look good and then the siren goes off.

I got the slinky on Casey’s cage but it wasn’t easy. My hands have got bad and it is hard to do a lot of things with them.
How’s he doing with it? 🤗
He isn’t going near it on purpose but he was climbing to the bottom of his cage and accidental touched it with his beak. Slinky is on the outside, he was inside. It startled him and he dropped to the bottom, all of about 2 inches! 😄 . He won’t stay afraid of it but because it won’t support his weight I don’t really think he can climb around it. If he does I can still tweak it.
