Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Here we don’t get too excited about bad weather warnings. In all the years I have lived here we only had damage from one storm. There seems to be a small corridor along both sides of the MS River that seems to escape most bad weather.
Good to know Becki. I have a friend who I think lives close to you, I hope it is the same for her. She lives in about a 6 floor senior place, I suspect it probably has a basement.
You have said where she lives and yes this was the same where she is as it was for me.

I get scared when I’m by myself, I have been through two tornados so they do scare me a lot, I have seen tornado phenomena, Like a telephone poll sticking through a house, and straw sticking into cement. Then to top it off I got to see baseball size hail this spring, still the summer and fall to go through for bad weather

Since weeks he is stranded several times, still alive and a mission to save him and drag him to the atlantic ocean will start tomo. There was already a live cam on youtube today. I hope that Timmy will make it.

Not enough fish and krill for him to eat there ,plus baltic sea-water is low in salt which isnt good for his skin.
He stranded around 4 times. When you look up”timmy humpback whale” , you will see english text , too.

I hope that it is compassion, they are big business people. Maybe attention for the business, too ? One of them is the founder of “mediamarkt”, which is Europes consumer electronics store number 1. Oh well. Main thing is, that they do good for timmy.

People do so much harm to our oceans. When they first came in touch with timmy, he had fishing nets on him, too. So much noise in the ocean, too, all the ships and human activities. That probably made him take a wrong turn into the baltic sea instead of staying in the atlantic ocean. I feel so sorry for him. I hope that they will save him. 🙂
