Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. No movie, no plans for today. The grey squirrel didnt eat the carrots from yesterday that i placed outside it’s hole. Rick has been feeding it carrots and they have disappeared. The moon was pretty early this morning.

Good morning Ardyth, I did see the moon last night it was real bright😍 squirrels usually eat nuts and such even a apple. Are you sure its the squirrel that’s eating the carrot?
Yes it lives in the hole and we have seen him eat it
I will go to the Dollar store to see if they have a spray gun for my watering, seems to me they had some earlier this spring, just will have to check?
I hope they do. I know if you can’t find it there it means a long walk for you.

Good Morning Bellas, just had a gray cat with bright yellow eyes go into the back yard it was a pretty cat sweet face, but out there hunting baby birds and rabbits and I hate that-good thing Jade didn’t see it she would of had a fit. Have coffee ready to sip going to watch videos oh and its a beautiful morning I can hear the chipmunk sounding the warning chirps THE CAT!!! GRrrrrr

If it is a stray it isn’t its fault. Jade was too and she was very lucky.
I don’t want it hanging around, I know its not its fault. But I have to protect my Jade from getting hurt from the cat, if the cats around will it attack her? She deserves to be able to be outside on her harness in her drive way and I don’t need to worry about her safety.
