Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning Bella Buds. We have a nice day so far, 78, 70% humidity. But it is still relatively early. Today I leave a little before noon to get a hair cut, followed by a doc appointment with primary here in my area, not Somerset. So, I put on the harness and boots once and get 2 things done! I did think they opened at 8 seems I have been there before 9am
Have a good time getting a haircut😘 good you get to stick around town. I was wondering if that kitten didn’t belong to some body and they caught it and brought it back home-like it got out and found it again? or someone else rescued it?
I guess I’ll never know unless it shows back up.
Wonder if it belongs to the new people across the street? you can look or it over there sitting in a window?
We don’t have new people across the street. They moved in one day, then we saw them move out the next. We were perplexed. Jo went and asked the owners what happened. Turns out a young man had rented it. Then they raised the rent on his mother and she needed help. He asked to get out of his lease and the owners allowed it. He then moved in with his mother. The house is still empty.
I didn’t know they moved out, maybe they dumped the kitten?
No they were only there one day, I’m not even sure anyone stayed that night. It has probably been 3 weeks. I wonder if the kitten was dropped here. People know we have an indoor cat?
It came from some where? maybe down the road?
No idea. Lots of cats around here.
Maybe there’s lost signs put up in your neighbor hood?
Not seen one and that would be rare.
Stores open I’m going for a walk
Dollar store wasn’t open I thought they opened at 8 but it 9 when the open so at least I got a walk in😃I wasn’t going to wait 20 minutes for it to open so I just walked home
Good Morning Bellas, I feel well rested got lots of sleep.Just took the trash out and its kind of cool but humid 75 will get up to 96 for the next 3 days heat index 105. no rain till maybe Friday. Might go on a errand this morning to get some juice to make smoothies I just froze some bananas and stop at the Dollar store for some frozen bluberries to go in a smoothie😋

Okay, I’m not going to bed just yet, but I’m going to go outside and turn off the water. Been going for about an hour. I haven’t watered the backyard in about 3 days, so it really needs it. I’ll be up for a little while longer though. I know some of you are on your way already.
