Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Up to 93 we just might hit 96 today
come to think off it, Blanche might be more hot to trot than hot at 96 degrees. 😁
Debbie I’m doing that I’m spraying myself down😂 how did you know?
Lucky guess!
Lordy, that’s hot 🔥🔥
Pam its cooking here and 3 more days of the same😫 its not our normal temps we should be in the 70’s
Okay, i’m officially not mad at Chuck over the stove any more; he went to the local farm stand, brought home & cut up a Dove melon. It is absolutely delicious 😋
Oh good Pam I know you love them. I cut up half a watermelon yesterday and it is not very good. Sorta flavorless. 😫
What is a dove melon?
It’s a creamy-tasting hybrid of a honeydew and cantaloupe — the best of both worlds
I would love that combo😋
Oh yeah! They last for about 2 weeks; then sadly, they’re done and we have to wait another year.
Don’t you wish you could preserve them? How long would one last in the fridge. I’d eat one everyday day!
Oh I thought it was a watermelon.
Sounds really good. Is it yellow or green inside?
Another hot day for us — at least our humidity/dew point is manageable — i feel so bad for those who have both heat AND humidity 🙏 Took me an hour to clean the stove this morning. i swear, if Chuck fries anything today, he’s cleaning it himself. i can’t even USE IT. I’m seriously thinking of replacing this gas range with a nice electric cooktop; at least i won’t have to clean it before i can use it. Both of them will wipe that type down — i know this because we had one in the Pueblo house. They’re… Read more »
Hi Pam Im glad your weather is tolerable. Oh those brothers! At least one of them sometimes cooks for you. At least with the gas you can cook in a power outage? Or can you? Cute toon.
I’m glad Kitty is recovery. I forgot is she having implants?
Nancy had one of those insurance visits and she said never again. I have been offered a $50 gift certificate and I still refused. When they call me I enumerate the doctors I see regularly. They thing the gift certificate will nail me. Nope.
YEP! It’s the 50 buck thing that gets Rick every time; not me. Now $1000, i might think about it. 😄
No implants, just a partial, so she’ll be able to eat something other than mashed potatoes, bananas and ice cream.
The stove has an electronic ignition, so probably not; that’s what PB&J is for 😋
So You can’t use the burners or oven.
FYI, in a power outage you can light the burners just like we used to. I have a really old gas stove but it still works except 3 burners you have to light. Several years ago when the first one stopped lighting we have repair person out and he said our stove is so old they no longer make the electronic ignition part. He told us just to light it the old fashion way. I would have never thought of that but it works great. Now if the oven one stops working we will get a new stove. I don’t… Read more »
Thats right Becki can always light the burner when there’s a outage😍
UGH! — Men!
I have to say that in a power outage, the last thing i’d be thinking of would be how to turn on the stove!
I would I drink instant coffee😂
I’d be going to the nearest coffee shop, out of the house.
😂
Afternoon Pam😍we just hit 91 feel like temp is 97, 3 more days of this😫 Kitty has her stitches in for a long time, I only once had ones that had to be taken out-other wise I just had the ones that desolve. Bone grafts they have to make sure its totally healed. What does Chuck fry that he makes such a mess?
Hi Julie ♥ Chuck’s just a slob when he cooks; Mom was like that — every pan, utensil, dish in the house. The difference is that Mom included the gas stove in her clean-up process; geez what are the odds 🙄 Both DBs think if they wash their dishes/pans, that’s cleaning up 😏
Just let him use one burner, tell him this ones yours to use, maybe if it gets dirty enough he will clean it? what does he do with the oil he uses?get him a fry baby and tell him this is yours to use. Put a lid on your clean burner with your name Pam’s on it
He has a fry baby; and using 1 burner doesn’t help, grease still sprays all over the place.
Hide the oil😂 or get him the spray kind😘I use the spray kind it uses less oilcan manage it better
Yeah, that’ll work — NOT 🙄
E. Jean Carroll got her money; it was wire transferred this morning from that sleazebucket 🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️
That is a good thing. Can you imagine this kind of thing in top leadership? Blows my mind.
I know, isn’t that crazy — so embarrassing
I saw a photo reminder, I think it was just yesterday, of him mocking the handicapped journalist.
OMG it really happened, Judge ordered he had to pay, I heard about this last week, didn’t think it would happen-he tried to have it over turned 3 times the judge said NO!!!Now I wonder with the reflection pond and the supposed vandalism, he had said it was so stronger you couldn’t cut it with a knife, so how was someone suppose to cut 350 foot gash in it?🤔
*strong
see ya later🖐
😂thought this was funny
🤣
Hi Deborah, how are you doing?
Hi Deb.
😂
😁
😂
Homing pigeon, so funny. Duh 😄😅
Time for me to do those last minute things and leave. See ya later.
See you later😘
